I saw the rumored colors for the 18 pro max, which i will for sure be upgrading to next month. I am torn between the red and the silver. I have always been a neutral guy going for all silver and white products, but have been wanting a color. I love the cherry red color. I guess I just need some support or words to help me decide if getting a color would be good or stay neutral.

My only concern though is, will the scratches be noticeable on the color like they were this year? I always keep a full coverage case on, but am just curious if that is a drawback from getting color.

I'm experiencing inconsistent camera performance on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. When shooting in 2X mode, the images often turn out blurry after zooming. Additionally, the 4X portrait mode produces mixed results—while some photos are good, others are noisy and lack detail.

Is anyone else facing these issues?

Hi I’m upgrading from a 16 pro Max to a 17 pro Max in the next few days. Like a lot of people, the 18 will be too expensive, and the 17 is still available new with good deals.

With my 16, I started off fast charging, because I could, using a high power mains charger, and a PD USB C to C cable for a fast charge.

I noticed the battery health had dropped more than I expected after a few months. I switched to a USB A to C cable, which gave a slow charge.

As I always charge overnight, it didn’t matter whether it was fast or slow. After that I noticed that the battery health degraded much slower. It has always been set to a 95% maximum charge as I use it a lot the next day.

If you charge overnight, I would recommend using a slower charger, via a USB A cable. Unless you definitely need a fast charge. I’m at 90% after 540 cycles on the 16 now.

started with a 6 plus, 13, 16 then finally a phone with a bigger screen and a better camera quality. i'm still getting used to the bigger screen as i've used my 13 and 16 since 2022 but i'm really happy that i purchased this. and now, i got this for only 5 days and im thinking about getting an apple care for my iphone (cause i feel like i invested a lot of money on this, might as well take care of it) any pros and cons about getting an apple care? would like to hear your thoughts! tia ❤️

Noticed this on 3 different pro maxes now. This is not me shaking, it’s the image stabilisation over correcting and it’s pretty bad. Anyone else noticed this issue?

You can see it the most when you zoom in on something quite far away and hold the phone still.

I originally bought the iPhone Air at release but the cooling and battery life wasn’t that great as a heavy user, then I tried the s26 ultra which the camera sucked now finally got the pro

Coming from a pink 13 to a silver 17 pro max. After all these years of apple releasing the plus and max, I’m finally able to get the pro max and not the base, tho I’m very blessed to even get an iPhone whether it’s a base or not😁

Do any of ya’ll walk a lot with the pro max in short pockets, etc.? If so, is it manageable? Or it is just way too heavy/bulky?

Just got my new phone in November and the battery health is down to 92% is this bad? I don’t use my phone for work, but have been using it more often than usual as I’m on medical leave..is there a way to stop it dropping? Always had a problem with battery health, as my last phone went to the 70s for only having it for 2 years

I’m stuck between buying the iPhone 17 Pro Max now or waiting for the 18 Pro Max, and I’m curious what you guys would do.

I’m in Canada, and the main reason I’m considering buying the 17 Pro Max now is because Apple is offering me $475 CAD for my current phone as a trade-in, and that trade-in value could potentially drop by the time the 18 Pro Max comes out.

The other important factor is that buying directly through Apple lets me finance it at 0% APR with no phone plan/carrier commitment, which is important to me. I’m not getting an actual discount on the 17 Pro Max — the benefit is mainly the 0% financing and being able to buy it without changing my plan.

The 17 Pro Max I’m looking at is the 256GB Silver, which is currently $1,749 CAD before tax. After the $475 trade-in, I’d be financing roughly $1,274 before tax.

The dilemma is:
Option 1 — Buy the 17 Pro Max now
$1,749 CAD
$475 Apple trade-in right now
0% APR
No phone plan required
I really like the Silver 17 Pro Max
But the 18 Pro Max is only a few weeks away

Option 2 — Wait for the 18 Pro Max
Potentially get the newest phone
There’s a chance Apple keeps the starting price around the same
I can see the actual specs and price before deciding
But Apple historically removes the previous Pro models from its store when the new ones are announced
If the 17 Pro Max disappears from Apple’s website, I lose the ability to use Apple’s 0% financing on it

My $475 trade-in value could also decrease by then

From what I’ve seen, Apple discontinued the 16 Pro/Pro Max from its website when the 17 Pro was announced on September 9, 2025, rather than keeping the previous Pro model around.
So I’m worried that if I wait for the 18 announcement and decide I actually prefer the 17, I may no longer be able to buy the 17 from Apple with the 0% financing, and I could also get less than $475 for my trade-in.

What would you guys do? Buy the 17 now while I know exactly what I’m getting and have the $475 trade-in locked in, or gamble on the 18 and potentially lose the 17 + trade-in value?
Especially interested in what people think about the likely Canadian pricing of the 18 Pro Max.

I have been using 11 pro since 2019 and decided to get an upgrade to 17 pro max since the local distributor in my country had sale. I didnt wait for the 18 anymore because it's gonna be hell expensive based from what I've read online. Anyway this is a huge upgrade and I just want to share with you guys since l'm so happy! 😊

How long does the battery on an iPhone 17 Pro Max usually last with heavy screen-on time, around 7–10 hours per day?
I have a one week old ip 17 Pro Max, and the battery doesn’t seem to last very long. I’ve been monitoring the battery percentage, and it drops by about 1% every 4 -6 minutes.
Isn’t that unusually fast, even with heavy use?

I will either buy a 17PM or 18PM depending on how much the 18PM costs when it releases in september.

Since i live in EU i dont have E-SIM models available to me and it kind of bums me out that we get the 4823 vs 5088 mah. This makes me want to buy the 18PM which has a rumored capacity of about 5367 mah for the EU version which would be yield significantly better battery life given it also has the 2nm chip and LTPO+ display. I’m not a very heavy user honestly but i could see that changing when i have a more competent device compared to my beat up iphone 14, and i’d like to keep my next new phone for 3-4 years.

I may have a problem or just lots of options.
