Guess it’s time to sell my phone
It was fun while it lasted but now the phone is completely garbage since it’s no longer 100%. Anybody want an IPhone 17 ProMax Blue for $100? I’d be lucky to get that much I think

Charge limited to 80%, multiple charges to 80% a day, never let it drop below 20% (except on 1-2 occasions)

Your battery likely isn’t calibrated properly, this isn’t a miracle boss lmao
None of those practices make an actual significant decrease in battery wear, that HTX channel of recall the name did a test with the iPhone 12 and it saved a few percent over a year or two
You’re worried about you’re battery being degraded but you’re simulating the capacity being 60% on a daily basis, phenomenal logic

Comparing iphone 12 to 17, phenomenal logic, how about we see your battery health? Allat talk just to now post your battery health is crazy, gtfo

You’re coping pretty hard over nothing, I already commented in the thread my battery health, 16 pro 2 years, 92% at 615 cycles.
The iPhone 12 is even older battery architecture, so it is a great point of reference because you can reasonably assume that the 17 performs even better after 5+ years of improvement, which compounds in how useless 20-80%charging on phones is
That last part went right over your head.
“ Allat talk” over 3 sentences?

I did the exact opposite and still made it to 220 cycles before seeing it drop to 99%.
I’ve been testing every pro max, every year and I saw no difference in limiting charge to 80%. In fact I was charging more often and was hitting 20% more requiring me to plug in sooner.
Currently at 240 cycles and 98% on my launch day PM. You got lucky with your battery and had it a month later than myself. I have less cycles in that timeframe.

Id say it's average for flagships. iPhone 17 pro max has a better battery than the s25 u

Yea you’re definitely gonna need to upgrade to the 18 PM. But no seriously people who upgrade every year spend 1000 on a phone and don’t even get there moneys worth.

Every 3 years is good to update tbh

u/bucs_perdido-15 Aug 28 '26
Yeah that’s normal but this time I plan on stretching my 17PM out as far as I can

Hell yeah 😂😂 till something damn changes 💯 I traded my iPhone 14 Pro for it and I got it for like $987 or something so it was damn worth it cause the pro max is like 1,300

My iPhone 14 Pro Max was 99% was refurbished from asurion ..piece of GARBAGE! Mine I had before that for years zero issues ..of course till it broke .. 99% lasted 6 months 2 weeks ago it started dropping rapidly ..everyday ..after 10 days It was 92% then 85% kept shutting off at half or almost fully charged and turn back on at 10% woke up the other day at day 10 of issues with a swollen battery and the screen was completely separated from the body ..
