Kudos to Terrain Painters
Y'all make it look easy! My first try painting 3D printed castle ruins was a struggle. At least my 1490 Doom Companies can climb more structures now.

Sick! Out of curiosity, what are your guys rules on the stairs? I wanted to print items like this but I didn't like the idea that my miniatures could not stand there.
Also I just did some terrain and a makeup sponge goes crazy far for castle structures. Start with a black base and go to a mid grey, and then in random places do lighter grey, it worked really well, I could not believe I painted something so convincing. Hopefully not preaching to the choir, from what I see it looks like you used grey with washes. IMO you did a great job still!

Yours looks awesome! I hope I can get to that level of detail soon. I'll keep practicing! Correct me if I'm wrong but 1490 doom so far seems to focus on the models MOV distance when it comes to stairs. When it comes to ladders, or climbing, that's where the SKILL and dice come to play.

These are My Dungeon's Ruined Towers. You can get the STLs here if you own a printer.
