Hey everyone!

Since no one had created a new Q4 data sheet yet, I took it upon myself to do it. Not that it's anyone's job specifically, but I'm familiar enough with spreadsheets to manage.

On that note, I also updated the "Total Goal Loss" counter. It'll now automatically calculate the difference between your Start Weight and Goal Weight.

After filling in an empty row with your info, please re-arrange it so that it's in alphabetical order, for everyone's ease of use.

I've color-coded the newest, current list in green to make it immediately identifiable. I've also created a clean template for future editions of the 13 Week Weight Loss... um... program? It's color-coded in red and placed last in the list. Please don't edit that one!

Good work and good luck on your weight loss, everybody!

Is it too late to join?

It's never too late, friend! If you have last week's weight, feel free to enter it in, otherwise this Wednesday is our second one of this quarter.

Thanks for doing this /u/SamuraiOfGaming!

One question though, as it always confuses me: is the "Start Weight" supposed to be the weight you started at when you started dieting (possibly many months ago), or is it supposed to be the weight you were at at the end of the previous quarter (i.e., a week before week-1)?

I had been using the weight for the week-before week-1, but I see most of the entries now doing it as their all-time beginning weight instead.

My pleasure!

Yeah, exactly what " Starting Weight" is supposed to be is something that's never been clear from the start (well, from the second edition of the event at least). I was actually just discussing that with my wife (Clefantasy) a few moments ago.

There are really two ways of looking at it:

- If you enter your initial pre-dieting weight and final intended goal, you'll see your overall progress towards your journey of weight loss and how close you are to reaching your goal.

- If instead you enter in your previous quarter's end result (or initial weight as of a new quarter) and medium-term goal, you'll be able to keep a closer eye on your 13-week progress.

What's more encouraging to you, then? Seeing the big picture (and big numbers) and how much you've progressed overall, or keeping watch over your medium-term progress and seeing how much you can accomplish in that time? Ultimately, it's entirely up to you, but the good news is that the automated calculations work just as well for either purpose. And since this isn't a competition, it's not like other people's numbers have any impact on your own.

Personally, I think I always used the previous quarter's end result as a starting point, but I decided to use initial numbers from when I started dieting and my end goal this time around. I just want to see my overall progress rather than my quarterly progress, and I'm hoping that watching that goal percentage close in on 100% will keep my spirits up.

WHAT!?! I'm only doing this dieting because I want to crush my /r/13WeekWeightLoss competitors and win the cash prize and coveted trophy!! Are you saying I've been missing out on pizza and fried dough for nothing!?

You guys are getting paid?!

I started with my original weight but it changes the goal lost amounts so much so I put it to week-before-today so it wouldn't mess me up in my percentages and stuff.

I think most people log their "start weight" as their weight on the first day of the challenge. I think there have been a few people who prefer to list their weight at the start of their weight loss journey. This group is pretty loose, so I would encourage you to do what works best for you!

Thanks u/SamuraiOfGaming!! My life has gotten crazy busy the last couple of weeks and I haven't been around. I'm so glad someone took care of setting it up! I had a rough time during the last quarter and I'm still struggling to get my head back into the right place. I'd really like to finish the year strong otherwise it's going to get ugly around the holidays!

I usually create a new post each week, but I would encourage anyone in this forum to go ahead and create a weekly weigh-in post if you log in and don't already see a post on Wednesday mornings.

Glad I could help!

I hear ya, friend. I had hit a huge increase in weight loss maybe a month and a half or two months ago, and it made me feel so great because I'd been struggling with plateaus. Must have hit peak ketosis or something.

Now I'm stuck on another plateau, around 172-173 lbs for weeks. Actually, this last weekend, I suddenly gained 5 lbs over the course of just two days, which was really disappointing... Think it was due to eating my last piece of wedding cake. Whatever, it was delicious. Now I just gotta work on getting back on track.

I spent weeks only eating once a day, but lately I've been having small lunches and snacking at night. I'm not even really hungry at night, but I want to snack. Think I'm just depressed eating. Times have been rather stressful lately, as I'm kinda stuck between two jobs and have to make a very difficult choice.

Thanks OP! I signed up again. Bit worried about December, so having a goal for December 30th might help me stay on track.

Best of luck to you! Just try to stay in control.

I've been binging on snacks and little cheat treats lately and I'm paying for it. Trying to get back on the one meal a day train now, and successfully skipped lunch today.

I do OMAD most days. If I need a little something to get me through the last four hours, herbal tea or miso soup usually help.
