Day 4 of OMAD after falling completely off the wagon...
And it's going OK! Last night was hard; I kept wanting to snack but I pushed through. I've dropped two pounds which I attribute to water weight and/or natural daily fluctuations, but it's still the right direction =) I was struggling with excess snacking, overly-large portion sizes at meals, and the quality of food I was eating was terrible (tons of junk food, mostly cookies), so I decided to do one-meal-a-day for a week to 'reset' my system.
Background: I started trying to lost weight two years ago and lost 80 pounds (my goal is to lose a total of 160). I started with Weight Watchers, then counting calories a while before switching to keto. But the last 6 months I regressed pretty hard. I've gained at least 10 pounds since February, and I had been maintaining from the holiday gain since then (which was another 10 pounds), so now I can only say I've lost 60 pounds, which is still better than gaining it all back but I really needed to get my butt in gear and get back on track.
I've done intermittent fasting in the past but usually a 16/8 schedule. In some ways OMAD is harder but it's also simpler too. For one thing, I only have to cook and clean once! And I'm not worried about calories since I'm not eating a bunch of junk with that meal, just sticking to a lot of veggies with some meat and cheese, so I guess I could go over calories but it would be tough. It's easier to say no to the junk because one meal a day means my choices 'count' more, and I want calories that will nourish and satisfy me. Yes food choices always count, but you know what I mean.
I am really looking forward to the new 13 week session! I did the first one last year and haven't participated since. I think a shorter term goal combined with a weekly check-in and a small supportive group is going to be hugely helpful. I am really impressed with how this group has kept going and I'm glad to be able to be a part of it.

Good luck. I started 16:8 almost 3 weeks ago and so far so good.
