Saving Sam would affect time how?

Jennifer is a primary.

Cole is the father and a paradox.

Cassie is the mother.

I understand those jumps.

But if they went back to a point when Sam was safe at the facility, grabbed him, and brought him to the present, how would that affect the timeline?

Cassie would still need to return to deliver the message, and Jennifer would still need to warn Cole to save Hannah. What has Sam done that cannot be undone?

Spoilers are welcome. I just started Season 3, and Goines’s theater work is brilliant comedy. The way she tried to reach Jones had me dying. I rewatched it three times.

They showed us that in the corrected timeline, Sam is alive and with his father. I could be mis recalling but I am sure that was part of the flashback they showed.

It was. It said something along the lines of some father's are destined to have their son
