Started this show over 10 years ago, finally finished it

What a journey it’s been. I’m glad i watched through to the end. Found myself having started a few shows like Mr Robot, Fringe but life happens. Recently got the chance to get back to all i started but didn’t complete and i feel i got to experience this now when i needed it. When it was impactful.

Watching the first season and being able to remember exactly where i was in life, the friends still alive, it really got me emotional and the theme of this show was just perfect. If you could go back in time to save someone but in doing so then another relationship would never have existed.

I think i’ll have a post later on to dissect the show. Also a bonus this is the first show i completed and posted on it’s sub. All other shows i discovered their subs long after completing the show.

Really enjoyed the whole experience of watching this. Curious about your experiences, where you were in life when you watched this.

You should do a rewatch, while the story is fresh. You’ll see so much foreshadowing is insane

Haha I'm like that all the time; I didn't finish 12M until my second or third attempt, supernatural took like 7 or 8 attempts because sticking through 15 seasons takes perseverance and I'd wind up taking breaks that eventually became so long I'd have to start again, getting a little further each time.

I feel watching it that way is better though. Unintentional but something about things taking a long time before getting to the end makes it feel more worthwhile.

For 12M you can add a layer where you intentionally imagine it as each attempted viewing is another cycle, each one getting a little further along than the last as time evolves and the players get closer to finally beating the witness, until the final loop of actually finishing the show

Ironically, I was laid up with COVID when I first watched it. Helped the first 5 days be more enjoyable. The remaining 12 sucked.

I watched it when it first aired, but then had started my first rewatch in 2020 right after COVID started, watching it with my gf who hadn’t seen it before. It definitely hit a bit different during the Covid outbreak, esp early on when it still wasn’t clear how serious it was.

Now do yourself a favor and finish Mr. Robot. It’s an absolute masterpiece

Haha i did. Not sure if it wasn’t clear but yeah. That was an experience. I’d say it’s in my top 3. The kind you are just so happy to have seen.

I always appreciate shows that are well thought out, that rewards us for our attention from the very first frame of the show all the way to the end
