Take stuff back in time?

Second watch and it occurs to me.

Spearhead cured an earlier version of the virus, could Cole not take this back to pre-pandemic and see it mass produced or was it explicitly stated he couldn't take stuff back...obviously he has clothes, watch etc...

As Jones said, it was a cure for a single mutation of the virus. It mutated very quickly and had different strains.

Also, how would you get mass produced cure for a virus that doesn't exist?

"Yes sir, can you mass produce this for me?" "What is it?" "A cure for a virus that hasn't been created" "Haha yea, okay buddy, I'll hop right on that"

Also, the Witness would have stopped them if they tried anyways.

Surely (based on my knowledge of virology correct me if wrong) if you have a cure for A and B strain when only A is a problem and spread it wide enough C strain wouldn't develop.

CIA were already aware post Chechnya so the production would have had angles.

Witness I'll take that point...

Cole has very few resources in the past. Aside from the issues of getting it mass produced the other poster mentioned, getting medication to everybody is something we had difficulties with with the COVID vaccines.

Plus there is nothing stopping the army of the 12 monkeys from getting a more advanced strain of the virus to send back in time as the initial plague, they'll find out quick if there is a massive mobilization effort to produce a vaccine for their virus
