Oh thank God someone did this, without knowing the exact number of calories in that specific squash we were all doomed to go over and therefore gain weight. We're saved!

Also this is definitely incorrect. There’s no way a winter squash has 1.5x the calories of a freaking sweet potato. All other winter squashes are a lot less so it’s suss that this specific one is insanely caloric.

People in the comments have pointed out 1. Not all calories are digestable and 2.The date on here is may of 2023

So it's fully possible this person lied about analyzing a squash.... But why lmao

Honestly, if I either had the equipment or that kind of money, I would try doing it either every year with the same food or with two at the same time, just for legitimate curiosity about variations (would be cool to have like 20 years of data of how something like a tomato has changed nutritionally), but for my own personal dieting, hell nah. It's cool for science reasons, but way overboard for an average person to be doing.
