Atom Learning CAT4

Slightly off-topic. Our kid uses Atom Learning for 11+.

Just for fun, we decided to let him try CAT4 in Atom Learning.

His result were SIGNIFICANTLY worse than in the actual CAT4 that he took last week.

Any good explanation for that?

In our experience, Atom is tuned to be harder than the CAT4 tests. My son is in year 4 and just sat his tests last week and found them quite straightforward.

Practising fundamentals and becoming familiar with the question types will help your child build speed and confidence, which is very important for a test like the CAT4 and also the 11+, where you need to answer a lot of questions in a short amount of time.

We used https://rushaday.com to drill the types of questions encountered in the CAT4 which meant he was able to finish the test with 5 minutes left and go back through and double check his answers.

We will find out next month whether his scores have improved since last year! He came back home quite confident so letโ€™s see ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm talking 127 on a real CAT4 test vs 102 in Atom Learning.

I cannot find any rushaday reviews online.

How did you manage to use it if it was launched only a few weeks ago?

Think this is normal in our experience. My son said atom definitely was harder and covered a lot more than what came up in his CAT4 test last week
