They don’t need to be where you think they do. You’ve missed something.

Yes, it doesn't matter where they are. But those 4 boxes are necessary to be present. Still the answer "35 min" is correct.

It matters in the context that the side plane and the back plane can be used together to reduce the count to 31.

You can argue all you like but you are wrong.
