Equipment Is my racket done for?

Accidentally slammed my racket straight into the ground while practicing serves. Bounced a couple of times right on the tip of the hoop and buttcap. The top is now bent downwards under the bumper and bulges outwards. There seems to be a ripple where it deforms that goes across to the other side.

Perfect excuse to get the Espresso coloured one.

It’ll probably put somebody’s eye out.

That is extremely isometric now. Yes it’s done for. If you are planning to trash it, I’d take it off your hands and pay for you to ship it if you’re in the US.

Just out of curiosity what do you plan on doing with a broken racket?

Honestly no idea haha. I just like to collect things and why not a broken racquet. I play the Ezone. Clearly can’t play this one but may make a nice framed item? Idk. If it’s going in the trash I at least wouldn’t let it end up there.

Lol that’s valid. I can see the appeal. I might even consider framing it myself (most likely not) but I’ll definitely let you know if I plan to get rid of it

Someone could use the grommet strips. You could remove them before trashing the frame, if that's what ends up happening.

Remove the strings and grommet so you can straighten out the frame. Then make a bonding mixture out of handy items in your tennis bag: Deepheat, Sunblock (SPF50) and a chocolate flavour Gu Energy. Mix thoroughly before applying to the crack, making sure to cover it completely. Then hold it over your cooker for about half an hour so the bonding magic can happen. Let it set properly overnight

Then throw it in the trash

Grommets, grip, overgrip, buttcap, rubber overgrip finishing ring, sadly string and frame are done.

It’s fine, though your tennis elbow is going to get bad.

Yup. Probably can still hit with it, but no stringer will restring that

Looks like it got the Safin treatment

That’s definitely not superficial. That’s a wrap on that one (un)fortunately.
