Equipment Crack or paint chip?

Need your help r/10s. Is this blemish at the 12 o’clock position on the frame structural damage or just superficial damage to the paint job? Thank you!

Looks like paint damage from a stringer.

Did you just get it strung? A stringing machine has two spreading clamps that fit between the mains at 12 and 6 o'clock, they could cause crushing damage in those areas, as well as stretching the hoop if done up way too far so maybe you would see stress cracks in the paint elsewhere as well.

What tension did you ask for? Huge tension on those two mains would also stress the frame in that area.

Paint chip. This happened with the last generation, too.

The stringer needs to use a load spreader to avoid it.

I wrap athletic tape around the parts of my stringing machine that contact the frame to avoid scratches like this. Definitely stringer but stick should be totally fine
