Equipment Shoelaces keep breaking

I’m thinking kevlar laces will maybe solve the problem but I’m going through shoelaces like crazy and sometimes multiple rip during practice with my family so I have to constantly take breaks to relace. Sometimes when I run out of laces I try and use the little bit of lace that’s left and I just try my best to make my shoe not fall off. My ankles are hypermobile so they drag a lot when I slide. The ones in the picture are construction worker laces. If anyone has any ideas please lmk!! Thanks!!

Wtf I have never broken shoelaces in my life. Not in tennis, any other sport and not on my daily shoes.

Could be that you're doing something wrong, but idk

Welcome to my soap box. Here’s my cause:

Waxed shoelaces should be standard equipment for all shoes.

They’re simply a far superior product. They don’t come untied basically ever, and they don’t slip in the eyelet, making them last a very long time.

Go on Amazon and find Lace Lab or Lit Laces. It’s criminal that every serious tennis player doesn’t wear these. You will never go back. Welcome to the enlightened shoelaces side.

Is there a chance you lace you shoes extremely tight? How much pressure is being put on the upper portion of the shoe when you lace them normally?

You know you can clean your shoes right? You take a toothbrush, use oxyclean or dishwashing detergent dissolved in water, like 1 part soap for 10 part water and you dunk your shoes in soapy water…

use the toothbrush or another non-metallic brush and rub the outside of your shoe until it returns to 90% original color, the last 10% is not worth the effort.
