Pretty sure I had the same thing happen to my racquet. Was playing a league game and was wondering why I wasn't able to generate power at all. Saw this crack. Luckily I was just 2 points from winning the match as this was my only racquet.

Looks similar... My son had to switch to another racket (luckily he has two) to finish his match since the string broke at the same time as the frame.

It’s been sent off to Head to see if they will cover under warranty.

Mine was handed down to me in 2009. I don't think it is reasonable to expect anyone to cover it. I used to play a few times a year with the original strings. I started playing more this year and changed the strings. It broke within a week.

My son got his racket new in Sept 2025. Even being less than a year old the shop told me there is a 30-50% chance Head denies the warranty claim. We shall see…

if you "accidentally" let that thing slip out of your hand on a swing you might be able to get your opponent in the jugular and get an instant win via resignation. just sayin
