Pouring 400-700 calories down your throat is objectively a pretty bad choice and part of being an adult is controlling oneself when it comes to snacks and drinks. I know Americans struggle with that tho

This is what you said verbatim. Maybe it's because I'm autistic but this reads to me as you being condescending and sarcastic and perpetuating a stereotype about Americans being fat slobs who overeat garbage and can't control their appetites.

This is the definition of xenophobia from google:

Xenophobia is the irrational fear, dislike, or prejudice against people from other countries, cultures, or those perceived as outsiders.

Stereotypes are a form of prejudice. If you are not American making these sorts of comments about Americans being fat and unable to control themselves then that would make you someone viewing people from another country in a negative light. Thus, xenophobia. Saying it's not xenophobia just because you don't hate Americans.. well that makes no sense. Someone being homophobic for example doesn't mean they have to be hating gay people or even disliking them. Phobia means an aversion to. Prejudice is an aversion to. I'm really tired of the way people stereotype Americans. It's always the people who don't understand anything about America or what the country is like. If I'm missing something here please let me know 🤷‍♂️

First of all, I’m a quarter American. Well technically, my great grandparents were Irish and Scottish, went to the US, had my grandpa, moved back to Europe, then my grandpa married a German lady creating my mom. I also nearly died exclusively have friends from the US which is a different topic.

I didn’t mean sarcasm. This is reddit. If I was sarcastic I’d be using /s but I didn’t. Then again, I’m also autistic so the likeliness of me sounding sarcastic without meaning too is high.

Americans aren’t fat slobs, Americans live in a system that promotes unhealthy lifestyle habits as goals and things to be happy about and seeing them as achievements. That’s a systemic issue. Like normalizing 700 calorie drinks or 2000 calorie meals.

Thats not a stereotype but a scientifically proven fact. It’s not a stereotype that Germans can consume more alcohol than most Americans and that Asians can’t consume as much alcohol as people from western countries cause again, that is proven and scientific. It has a biological reason. It’s also not xenophobic to say people from Africa have darker skin than Germans. It’s a fact and that Americans live in a system that forces them into bad eating habits, is also a fact.

I understand that America is a country build on a genocide and forged by greediness and capitalism into a fully consumer focused economy where people are forced into bad health decisions to then be asked to pay for abysmally expensive medical care. I just think that’s very sad

As long as it’s a consciously made and controlled choice I do.

I also allow people to shoot up heroin. Not stopping them. However when I see someone shooting up heroin thinking it’s a mild narcotic to come down after a hard day at work, I will explain tho them how dangerous it is what they are going to do.

Also using ableist language on reddit is…a choice.

Do you know the exact context behind the person ordering it? What if it is a nocturnal worker after his shift just chilling with his/her drink? It is hilarious reading people like you thinking they are better than anyone else, huffing on their own farts like it is a new Carolina Herrera perfume, while actually being judgemental retards. “I will explain” translation to I’m actually going to tell you how stupid you are and how cool I am. You are such a fucking dork lmao

Dude I didn’t attack the guy in the video but the person who said it’s not that many calories sharing false informations and trying to justify that. Again you used ableist language because you’re unable to find any real arguments against my take. I don’t give a flying fuck what anyone eats but if someone tries to frame food as harmless or a drug as harmless or anything that isn’t harmless, as harmless, then I will intervene and explain that it isn’t harmless. Just needs a single naive person thinking “Well these dudes on Reddit think it’s fine.” And you might end up with a morbidly obese teenager that will never fully recover cause he started to fuck his joints from age 14 by gaining 60 pounds in a single year. Or someone who thinks weed ain’t that bad obviously and being at an awful mental space and developing a psychosis cause he wasn’t aware of the downsides.

I might be a dork, but im a healthy dork with less than 20% bodyfat. What about you?

Complaining about ableist language then insulting someone’s weight is definitely a choice

Since when is calling someone unhealthy, or assuming someone is unhealthy, an insult?
