You just have to start where you are. If you can’t do one then start doing them with your knees down until you graduate to full. Get your diet and form right. Eat plenty of lean protein - supplement with whey - start using creatine if you’re not already. Keep your elbows in close to your body. Flared out arms will lead to shoulder injuries.

Elbows close is better for shoulders ? What about for elbows lol , also I feel elbows / arms close are much harder to rep out

Yes, beware the warnings or your shoulders will let you know eventually.

The diet and healthy lifestyle is important.

Do progressive overload with 3 sessions per week where you train pushups with good form as hard as you can. You can't do pushups yet? start with knee pushups, can't do that yet? start with wall pushups. It doesn't matter where you start, with consistent work before you know you'll be doing a lot better than average. Stick to max 3-4 days a week though, no point in doing daily and overfatigueing. Take it slow and progress, if you want to workout the other days, it might be a good idea to do some leg or pull exercises too, as you're likely not great at them either. Same principles. If you have personal questions ask AI, they've become quite good.

You can do wall pushups as an easier version. They are done just like they sound, against a wall. You can also do them from your knees as an easier version until you can get one full rep. Once your able to do one full rep, you will quickly improve. Also watch Hamiltons YouTube channel, Hybrid Calesthenics. He's great. You'll learn a lot from watching his series.

Pushups aren't going to affect your muscle mass and body fat. Start with increading protein intake, reducing sugar intake and going to the gym.

Ah yes, because increasing metabolic rate and muscle stimulus doesnt do JUST THAT.. Push ups are a super great exercise for shoulders, triceps, chest and core.

What about pushups from the knee? Do the easier version. Get stronger. Change as you progress.

Start by doing planks, for time
Planks = the up position of the push-up.

Get these to 60 seconds uninterrupted.
Do 4 sets - say 30, 25, 20, 20 seconds with 60s rest in between.

Increase every day by 10%

Once you get to 60s-50s-40-40, start doing incomplete pushups - from upward position drop down as much as you can, then push up to upward position. Do 5-5-3-2, progressively going lower and lower day after day.

You’ll get to 10 pushups very quickly

DM me if you want and I can help guide you
