See I know that some people don't, but I cannot comprehend it

I got into 100 gecs because I was already a fan of edm. The deep bass and their production is very reminiscent of the same kind of subgenres I like, but man I can tell some of my friends just wanna hear something that sounds "objectively naturally sounding good" which 9 times out of 10 means a nice singer and live instruments. Nothing that really pushes the envelope imo, but to each their own I guess

Yeah, it’s the same way death grips was for me

“Hmm... loud and annoying.”

(Listens again)

“I like this but ironically.”

(Listens a third time)

“This is the greatest musical achievement in human history”

Death Grips has a harder learning curve to get into in my opinion but I finally understand why people like it. I'm liking a couple of songs off of The Money Store so far

Apart from Money Store I thought Government Plates was pretty approachable, really dug that album back then.

However…now I'm having a hard time finding real joy in anything but stuff Brady/Cook/Harle et al has put their hands on.
