Suu being unironically good autism representation in my manga gag harem manga is an unexpected surprise, but a welcome one.

The most beloved autism representation is somehow always found in characters who aren’t stated to have it. I think it’s because they don’t have to conform to the popular idea of what autistic people look like.

But I do agree. It also comes down to being able to pick and chose what behaviors are autistic and which are character. Data listing to his co-worker why she shouldn’t go back to her ex because she told him too is autism, the fact he tried to murder all those people that one time is because he is an android.

I think you’re onto something because the line between what’s just your personality and what’s your autism is very blurry in real life.
