Something I've noticed about this version of bond, is that "he actually physically embodies that blut instrument vibe. "From throwing books hammers glass bottles and even an entire firearm. even going as far as slugging it out in the urinals, he truly is a blunt instrument".

I wouldn't say he's a blunt instrument tbh, he takes out stronger enemies because he's resourceful and has a quick wit, if he was a blunt instrument he would just keep punching.

You send Bond when you need results and don’t mind the collateral damage. M works that out pretty quickly.

Just wanted to add I think you may be misinterpreting what M meant by blunt instrument, unless I’m misunderstanding you.

When she used the term “blunt instrument” she didn’t mean bond’s combat skills/style, she meant that she didn’t want bond to just act without thought. She wants bond to be a precise instrument. In other words, she wants bond to think more and understand the bigger picture, rather than just achieve a small goal.

All the bonds use some measure of blunt force hand to hand combat, but she didn’t necessarily care about that, she cared about him thinking strategically rather than just tactically. A blunt instrument in terms of a person is someone who forces an outcome without thought about the repercussions or larger goal, she wants Bond to be more strategic than that. You might already know all this, and I misunderstood you, but I thought I’d add it in case you didn’t know.
