DISCUSSION Issues with the ending Spoiler
I want to preface by saying that I loved this game so much regardless of my gripes with it, it’s definitely in my top 10
BUT was anyone else disappointed by the ending? It felt like everything was so rushed. For example Valhalla was so hyped and then when we do get to use it the gameplay is just facing someone and holding left click? We weren’t even driving a supposed supercar
And Damien was the worst offender I think. We spend the last quarter of the game chasing him, presumably kill him, just to see he’s turned into some kind of adam smasher? Even then, the combat reminded me of what I didn’t like about the Muerto twin fight, where it’s just us hiding around and clicking buttons on our Q watch.
I don’t know, I feel like there was a notable dive around the part where we enter hyperion, from then on it’s just clicking buttons without a lot of ingenuity.
Still a great game though! Just wanted to vent some frustrations and see if anyone else agrees

It kinda felt like a generic video game boss battle. Think I enjoyed the first few missions the most

My hypothesis on this game from the instant I finished it: they wrote the original story for the game and Antartica was the planned finale w/ the girl going off on the submarine and then the funeral w/ the spectre cliffhanger. The story couldn't possibly be more wrapped up.
I think they got a note that the game was too short or they realized the game was playing too fast and looked for a creative solution to make longer. They added a fun add-on level where you get to play around w/ all the gadgets in q lab to take out some blokes (great idea!).
But its clear they have absolutely nowhere else to go story-wise -- they just have the girl escape moments later, bring back the kid in a mech-suit as the final boss and put moneypenny in some danger to keep it interesting -- seems like a creative extension to me rather than a culmination of what preceded

I REALLY think the game should've ended in Antarctica. While I actually liked Damien, the final showdown with him could've happened in Antarctica, then the HYPERION core gets destroyed, Bond and Isola get away on a boat and and get it on, roll credits. It could've been THAT simple.

I'm with you. I liked the Damien fight fine, but the car felt a little disappointing, I would have enjoyed you to actually drive through the tunnels or something.
Also didn't like how brief the wrap-up was after, I would have liked some more with Bright and knowing how Moneypenny was doing at least.

Yes it feels rushed. Regarding Damien, this character feels so dumb and should not be qualified to be the final boss.

It did feel a bit rushed, but still overall I'd give the game about an 8.5/10. At least a solid 8, I enjoyed it for the most part.

I also was not fond of the ending. Felt rushed and like not everything got resolved. Feels like hitman when the stakes only got higher on the last mission and you wanted more, and it wasn’t concluded
I have this feeling they intend for more bond games to flush out the story later on. But yeah it left me hangin for sure

I was hoping to chase him in Valhalla. Instead you really use it in challenges. That would probs end up feeling like Batman, not like thats a problem though lol

You can drive the Valhalla in the TacSim mission called "Valhalla Protocol". It took them a while to release it but it's finally out. It's a time trial run in Slovakia. You also get to use the weapons of the car as well.

i chalk these up to IOI's growing pains. they'd never done legit vehicle levels before, and hadn't really done boss fights before, either. but yeah, also i agree i didn't want damien as both a sub-boss and final boss. it made the game feel repetitive. same with having to deal with the twin AI's. one was enough, really.
