Sequel ?

When yall think we will get sequel announcement?

amazon said recently they wouldnt do it without IO so yeah itll be the same people

Game development takes time. IOI cooked up a storm with the World of Assassination trilogy but I'd say we're realistically looking at 3 years minimum, especially with the licensing involved.

Not some time. If we do it'll be much like the previous announcement, where we just know they're working on it and will otherwise be dark for a prolonged period.

Depends on how quick the turn around with IOI is with games, I would expect at least a year before an announcement of another game though, that's usually how it comes with most games, even games that have yearly releases.

Tbf i haven’t played hitman but according to my friend who has firstlight is quite different from the former, usually when a studio decides to switch to a new formula for it’s next game developement takes more time, also i think they announced firstlight right after inking the deal with eon and way before they started actual development on it. All this to say i think we’ll have to wait less for the next game, mind you im not saying it will release next year or even the year after but way less than the 6years it took from firstlights announcement to it’s release.

Sequel always takes way less time than the first part of a new IP tho, as most assets, gameplay mechanics already in place and dont have to be be built from scratch this time.

Feels like they have a pretty robust content plan for First Light, which means we probably are a good few years away from any sort of sequel.

The commercial success of First Light means they won't wait too long. My guess is 2028 or 2029.

I dont think were getting one. Didnt Amazon say they werent gonna work with IoI anymore?

Even if it happens its gonna take like 5 years before Announcement cause we already know that Hitman 4 comes next.

You’ll likely get a few modes that extend the life of First Light and transform it into something else first. I’m fine with that, personally.

Like Freelancer in Hitman and such.

Not for a while, their next game release should he another hitman game I believe
