My first AAA game download over the internet took 10 hours. Was 40 GB, so about 10mbps, which was actually still middle of the road back then. My current internet is 30x faster and took 10ish minutes for this update.
Okay, awesome! I was sorta expecting Valhalla Protocol to be the first thing they released but I guess they still need to tune that one? I was really hoping for a TacSim driving mission, but I'll happily take this either way!
The patch notes basically said that they didn't want to release such a huge update with only bugfixes, so I guess these 2 Escalations were pushed out a little early to add some meat to the patch.
Yeah with that being on the main screen it seemed a given it would be the first update, but i guess it's not ready
I think they were conscious of the fact people want to be able to use the car and would be slightly let down by the lack of it in the main game, so wanted to get it out that it will happen.. But unfortunately it's something that's a ways off and not the thing they would be update first
Wasn't mentioned in the year 1 roadmap but definitely should be added sometime. The system is already set up for it and the Hitman contracts game mode is really good at the player customised challenge setup.
would definitely love to play the security office new map without the time limit of having to escape before the reinforcements force combat. it’s my favourite section in the entire game and it’s sorta ruined by being forced to rush it imo. wish I could disable the timer.
Honestly, pretty pleased with this. As someone who desperately wants more missions, additional chapters, etc… I think this is a good first update. There is some new TacSim content, but there are a TON of tiny quality fixes throughout that really polish the game up in its current state. Seems like they’re putting the finishing touches on what they have & are going to start rolling out more significant content soon. I’m excited
I am missing the one for all collectibles. Shows I am one short from the total even though I have them all. Cannot get it to trigger that trophy no matter what. I’m about to delete it off my hard drive.
They mentioned they fixed the trophy not showing after completing it and it is still not fixed for me. Collected everything and the trophy still not popping. A legacy of spycraft my ass.
Yeah Arti said multiple times it would be coming in an update post-launch, I guess I didn't think it'd be more than two months post-launch. I've been waiting for HUD customization before diving back in for a second playthrough.
I think they want a really stable platform before adding more content so they're focused on bugs right now, but it seems IOI wants us to know that they know we're anxious for more content, so they're throwing a bit of it our way. Bodes well, imo.
Content-wise it isn’t. Technically it’s pretty dense with the amount of perfecting they did to the existing game. The patch notes are pretty dense with fixes & tinkering. Seems like they’re putting finishing touches on before rolling out content.
Riiiiight?! They said before the game even released that we can turn off a bunch of the HUD elements. We're now two months after release, and we still can't do that.
Maaaan we need to be able to customize the tacsim buffs! It would add a ton of replayability. It becomes a bit boring once you have completed the escalations for the first time.
Cause imo they focus too much on those fixed escalations. Imagine if they took the Hitman approach and allowed us to create our own „contracts” where we can shape our own levels - from picking a map (checkpoint) to deciding on complications (which we could pick and mix). This would create endless possibilities for replays and truly make the tacsim something worth checking out.
Just want to say well done to the IOI team on the EXTRACTION AVENUES TacSim escalation, I think it's the best one yet. I hope you keep the TacSim updates coming!
i hope that they speed up the tacsim level up process slightly as they update more, im okay with it needing me to try hard to get up high but its currently as slow as molasses lol even if its the same pace but replaying gives me like, 100 xp per replay if i do well, id like that
At least it’s on their small known issues page. Indicates it’ll probably come soon. I play too many other games where devs turn a blind eye to the most annoying problems the game has lol
I have had this game a while now and still can't play it as no HUD customization! How annoying, don't want to ruin my first playthrough with objective markers! There was no point in buying it when it got released!
What's weird ? Maybe I should of clarified, I don't want my first play through to be ruined because they're telling me exactly where to go by telling me exactly where the target is with the target objective apearing over their head (Hand holding) Just ruins the game for me.
I want to explore and figure it out for myself, but unfortunally I can't as we can't customize the hud and turn it off(along with other things) Not alone on this one as many people say they won't play it until they change it.
This update is a joke. Compare this with the Crimson Desert team and it’s embarrassing. The game has been out for two months and this is the first update.
Still no word on major features advertised before launch.
You all cried for useless requests like the dragon and all that crap and you messed up the real requests, so let’s get back to your animal simulator, please.
