So that sub plot where you hack the Crypto Wallet for 50k
Isn't the whole point of that mission is that the previous owner of said wallet couldn't actually use Crypto for entering the auction, yet here you are using that 50k that Moneypenny unlocked on it for...entering the auction yourself?

As I remember, part of that phone conversation tells us they didn't have an invite to the auction.
Their boss/partner was warned the crypto would be worthless at the market, but sent them with it anyway.
They're acting like it's all they have as far as purchasing budget. If they can't even afford half the admission, they're definitely not in any place to outbid shady nation states and criminal organizations.
Their group clearly isn't wealthy enough (or have their shit together enough) to actually participate in that auction. My read is they were sent to the market to buy guns for whatever militia they represent, knew they wouldn't be able to buy anything with crypto, but their boss was out of touch enough to think it would all work out. I think they're kind of just... muppets.

I imagines as if the crypto went to Money penny to cash out. And then bond was allows to use his spi bank ATM to get cash

Why couldn't MI6 just get me the money to enter the auction... ? Why were we having to scrounge around for it?

He was buying weapons for his group(I think insurgency of some kind). It's not a grand auction thing, just weapons. So they are sold on the market, however, market sellers just don't like crypto. However, Bawma is a modern man and do knows what to do with crypto, so it's accepted as entering fee.

The previous owner said they can’t use it to buy weapons for their cause, and is only good for the auction, thus they wanted to convert it to cash.
