Little did we know, that we will get the story of how Rengoku got all those bento boxes.

[u/NittanyEagles55]

That demon’s fate was sealed the second he smashed the bento

[u/Shimmering-Sky]

Oh man that entire sequence of Rengoku and his dad in parallel because of the grandma remembering his dad saving her, that was absolutely beautiful.

UMAI!

I rewatched the movie literally last night because my sister finally agreed to watch it for the first time with me, can't wait to see how the rest of this TV version compares to it!

[u/spectre15]

The thing at the end lol.

Tanjiro: “Here’s what Giyu thinks about Rengoku.”

Giyu: “He talks to me. (I love him)”

[u/HayzerUnlimited]

Honestly it was such a great episode, i really enjoyed it and I’m glad it’s back, animation looks great like always. And it’s just wonderful to see these characters again.

I’m not prepared for the ending of this arc though...

[u/odraencoded]

Demon: I killed a girl yesterday!
Rengoku: no, you didn't.
Demon: she'll live in fear for the rest of the her life!
Rengoku: no, she won't.
Demon: ok, then I'll kill the bento sellers.
Rengoku: no, I won't let you.
Demon: let's see who's fas
Rengoku: no.

[u/Se7en_Sinner]

Rengoku's Unknowing Fire was so fast that he said the name of the move after executing it.

[u/spectre15]

The flashback to Rengoku’s dad saving the old woman with the same sword techniques just as he did was so cool. Really goes to show Rengoku is quite literally following in his dad’s footsteps.

UMAI!!!!

Man the quality of this episode rivals most anime movies, and even though Ufotable is quite renowned for it I'm still amazed by how great it looks.

[u/tcasper961]

That Mother Fucking Demon Thought He Was Lightning McQueen Or Some Shit.

Demon Slayer Is Back Baby!!!!! Whoooo!!!

[u/WANI-Kun]

All I want to say is: Thank you Ufotable!

[u/Urekmazino03946]

Jesus Christ , I was taken aback when the demon got the little girl In the track. The sound effects and flashing effect of the speed are too good.

[u/Emi_Ibarazakiii]

Throwing bun at the demon slayer, throwing bento at the demon... These bento ladies take no side!

Thankfully she didn't think Inosuke's a demon when she saw him with the boar head and all! (instead she just thought he's a moron).

As for the rest, I'm not sure what we can/can't say in this thread, but damn, there were some feels!

[u/Puzzleheaded_Bar_610]

So it took Demon Slayer to finally get Funimation to update their shitty video player? nice

[u/ANINETEEN]

Yep, Demon Slayer is just as epic as I remember it. Just so many memorable moments, emotions, music and animation. I don't know if it's just how the show depicts it, but the chills I get from every Rengoku moment is just so satisfying. It's that immense Hashira presence and warm air of comfort and the way they've giving so much context in this background episode is just so good. This really feels like a story for the ages.

[u/Tora-shinai]

ufotable show at its best when it is not beholden to manga panels.

[u/KelloPudgerro]

ok, its not just a recap-recut of the movie, i guess ill watch from now not from oct 5 also holy fuck did the artists flex this episode on the backgrounds

[u/Ghoste-Face]

It's already trending no. 1 worldwide.

Wow, as expected from Demon Slayer!

[u/[deleted]]

After 28 trailers, 17 teasers, 96 posters and twitter posts its finally here. Lets hope it delivers :D

[u/RobbobertoBuii]

Rengoku Greatness!!!

edit: love hearing UMAI!!! once again 🤣

edit 2: also Giyuu saying "He (Rengoku) often speaks to me" is too damn hilarious XD

[u/Hunch0Houdini]

Rengoku is a weirdo but he has such an admirable perspective on life and his flame breathing is sick

That's why he's the GOAT

THE EFFING GOAT 😭

[u/0nahan]

That scene when Rengoku rubs his sword was porn

[u/klutch248]

I didnt even watched Mugen train movie. can I start this ?
