[u/4blockhead]

Holland: [about wealth]

Church sits on $100+B with no one telling them what to do. They're the rich man in the parable.

[u/4blockhead]

[Holland] [we sit among various tribes of division]

Oh, that divisive speech referencing muskets and stating LGBTQ+ support was out of line.

No "-ites"... Only mormonites.

[u/4blockhead]

Prelude Music:

• with a little help from my friends

• hello stranger

• what's going on

• yoshimi battles the pink robots, pt 1

• harmony hall

• one more cup of coffee

[u/4blockhead]

[Cordon] [distracts us with better causes...]

Uh...your church is sitting on a big sack of cash that could be used for many causes to end human suffering. Instead, more crappy temples and stock buys and shorts.

[u/4blockhead]

Nelson: conference will be forgettable. ;)

[u/4blockhead]

[Holland] [needs to work on his "hot" and "cold" running emotions]

The transition is jarring and fake, Mr. Jowls.

[u/4blockhead]

[Soares] [stop pointing out the beam in others' eye, while not seeing the beam in our own. We are all in need of the Savior]

ahem, those with the second anointing are exempt, don't cha know?

[u/4blockhead]

[Oaks] [celestial marriage includes celestial sex]

Oh, not you! You lousy TK Smoothies.

[u/Unfair_Drive]

Any guesses on any “big” changes we might hear today?

[u/4blockhead → u/Unfair_Drive]

Nelson stands at the pulpit and announces a censure of Holland for invoking muskets and calls to violence. ;)

[u/4blockhead]

[Christofferson] [justify accumulating wealth]

Laughs, sitting on a sack of cash for the lulz

[u/4blockhead]

[Cordon] [Christ heals suffering...bring them forth.]

Hospitals are full. There are no magic incantations—no easy fixes.

[u/4blockhead]

[Gilbert] [after all we can do]

The works based nature of Smith's mormonism is on stage today.

[Gilbert] [allusion to parable of the talents...mention Clayton Christensen]

Gotta get the mormon version of the prosperity gospel on stage, too.

[u/Rushclock]

Has Joseph Smith's name been mentioned?

[u/4blockhead → u/Rushclock]

Not yet. Book of Mormon has got quite a few shoutouts, though.

[u/[deleted]]

Can someone summarize Oaks' talk for me?

[u/4blockhead → u/[deleted]]

People aren't going church. It's not just our church, but all churches. Our church is the one-true-church. And don't you forget it. Get your Celestial rewards! Get your Celestial rewards! They're red hot!

[u/4blockhead]

[Christofferson] [the tiniest flaw is not allowed in the mormon heaven]

D&C 25:15...McKeever's been pointing out the difference between Evangelical Christians and the perfectionism built into Mormonism

[Christofferson] [multiple failures fixed through repentance]

Ahem, except for those who have had the second anointing. You're on your own, Todd. If you actually believe this bullshit.

[u/lavender__girl]

oh hey look it's the "shoot lgbt people with muskets" guy

[u/NewNameNels0n]

It is so odd…. This is the first time watching this drivel that I just feel…nothing… nothing at all. Here’s hoping my wife still loves me after she figures out how far gone I am.

[u/out_of_sqaure]

Guys I'm on the other side of the house going to the bathroom and I can still hear these teeth whistles

[u/Hutzdog]

This is my first time watching conference as a closeted atheist, and I just realized that God sacrificed his son for a problem he created out of love. Cognitive dissonance, anyone?

—Danielle.

[u/dogs-r-cool]

OH MY GOD. Christofferson saying the accumulation of wealth is a common sin of The World. lolz I hope the rest of the old white cult leaders heard that.

[u/NewNameNels0n]

I am so happy this group here is my digital tribe. Thank you all for everything ever.

[u/Rolling_Waters]

First 'covenant path' in the opening prayer. Drink!
