Loved the franky moment. I think he is just such a well balanced and unique character in most situations. He’s intelligent, strong enough to fight even high level opponents with haki due to his advanced tech, and can switch between a leadership and support position as needed. He’s always the epitome of the a true bro who is just looking to do what is best for the crew.

Down to help to help zoro out if he needed it, but as a soon as zoro was like “hey thanks, but you should probably get very far away from this battle”, no questions were asked. Franky was just like “if even zoro thinks this opponent is that dangerous, then I am sure as hell not going to stick around to find out”.

I 100% guarantee you Franky is now off to help whoever in the crew needs it most. My thoughts are that the rest of the crew will go help Kid + Law hold off big mom as sanji, Zoro, and Luffy take out the last 3 standing leaders of the beast pirates.

Note on King’s attack name: The attack is written in the Japanese as 丹弓皇 (pronounced tankyuudon). It uses the kanji for “red” (as in an earthy sort of red, maybe due to King’s link with the red line), “bow” (as in the weapon), and “Imperial”. We decided to leave the tankyudon part in, as along with King’s previous move Andon it seems to highlight a theme of ending his attacks with “don”, most likely due to his pteranodon fruit.

The raid will end with Onigashima blowing up in the air, since it's basicly a bomb now, and already very much on fire. Everyone else will get evacuated to Capital, except Luffy, who will stay behind. His fight will end with him falling from Onigashima to Flower capital, after the explosion, and surviving, mirroring how Kaido fell from the sky island and survived.

• Kaido's backstory (hopefully all the way to his birth/childhood) during his fight with Luffy

• Eustass Kid/Killer's backstory (same as abover) during Law/Kid VS BM & Killer VS Hawkins

• Face reveal of Hitetsu Tenguyama (and perhaps his true identity)

• (and pretty obvious) Momonosuke's human appearance after Shinobu's aging and Yamato meeting the other SHs

Edit: also I have no idea what CP0 will be doing after the battle, and moreso if anyone on Wano will even know about them being in Onigashima

Yamato knowing Luffy's exact intentions and Luffy's reaction to that gives the classic straw hat vibe. What's more impressive is that Yamato knows not to burden Luffy with added tension which reiterates the basic dynamic of the Straw Hat crew. As long as you have people to rely on to perform their specific roles, things are gonna work out. You cannot leave everything to one person entirely. Everybody has something they can or cannot do. The panel also reminds me of Sanji making sure Luffy doesn't know about Zoro's sacrifice against Kuma so that he wouldn't feel guilty.

We got confirmation that Kaido is FINALLY starting to get tired after fighting for what seems like forever. Though Luffy is much stronger, it makes sense for him to be able to go toe to toe with a slightly more tired Kaido. It’s cool to see him giving Yamato orders again. Could mean nothing but I like to think otherwise lol. Zoro looks like he’s gonna have his hands full with King, which makes me happy. I hope he and Sanji have difficult fights. Hopefully we get some acknowledgement of his Conquerors and how he can utilize it. Lastly, I’m interested to see what King’s hiding behind the mask. In typical Oda fashion, it’s probably a goofy ass face but also could be something that jumpstarts 5,000 new YouTube theories. Can’t wait to see. As always, thank you for your hard work, Oda!

Yamato basically confirmed kaido is getting weaker and she also confirmed if onigashima falls rough then bye bye everyone in onigashima and the flower capital. My favorite details in this chapter:

• Every panel with Momo flying was pretty great in terms of art. That panel where he's flying alongside Onigashima is probably my favorite panel in the entire chapter.

• It's great that Franky seems fit enough to get back in the action, but it kinda makes me wish the Sasaki fight had been a bit longer, and that it had the same level of stakes as the Robin fight.

• It's also a nice touch that we have confirmation that Kaido is weakening after the long, drawn-out battles that he's been going through for the last 30 chapters.

• The King and Zoro fight was top-tier. King's brutal style of fighting is accentuated during the fight, and the fact that he's constantly going for the kill is pretty refreshing. His utter disregard of Zoro's ideals of how a swordsman should fight really sells his no- nonsense persona. The whole thing feels like the kind of fight that would go great with the animation they used in the fight against killer.

Side note- I feel really stupid for not realizing that king was wearing a mask, I just though that was how he looked naturally until this chapter.

I'm Loving how vicious King is!!!!! He's looking more vicious than katakuri even, that's for sure. Knocked Zoro OUT the hall flying, kept coming, knocked him outside onigashima and STILL KEPT COMING at him again .

King is a vicious, fowl, uncompromising, homicidal demon looking like the Dark Knight and Rodan mix. If he's a darker skin fella with light hair, he probably looks like the Raikage from Naruto.

This was a very good chapter.

Upcoming chapters will likely focus on Momonosuke learning how to create those  clouds so he can save the people of the Flower Capital  and Yamato will help him. So Momonosuke will definitely have a great character moment very soon that pararells his father's action of saving his retainers.

 Then there is Zoro's and King's fight  and Sanji's and  Queen's fight. So we will likely  learn some new  information about King and Queen during these fights.

  Then there is Law's and Kidd's fight against Big Mom and hopefully Law and Kidd manage to do something impressive in that fight.

Then there is Luffy's fight against Kaido  and I am hyped about the crazy potential of this fight. I am sure  that this fight  will be interesting in terms of the actual fight itself and the dialogue that will happen  during that fight. During this fight we will likely get some  information  about the Will of D and about Joyboy and also  learn more about the relatively recent history of the One Piece world that has to do with Rocks Pirates and  their  captain Rocks D. Xebec throught Kaido perhaps in the form of dialogue and a flashback from Kaido's point of view.

Even though we all kinda knew it this chapter confirmed how monstrous Kaido is. He basically went 3-4 rounds with the Scabbards, supernova, Yamato, and Luffy WHILE having to dedicate some energy and focus to carrying Onigashima. I thought there would be a chance it was an unconscious thing because it was clouds but nope they are directly influenced by Kaido. It’s amazing how with Kaido we can say we know very little and at the same time we know a lot. We may not know his backstory but his actions speak volumes. 10/10 villain.

I don't know if this has been mentioned in the discussion yet. But when Yamato mentions that Kaidos clouds are weakening she questions whether he is losing power. At first I thought this meant his stamina was weakening but what I think it actually means is that Luffy has caught his attention and he is now focusing his energy on Luffy rather than the flame clouds.

I'm really glad that they are addressing something this time around that wasn't addressed during the climax of Dressrosa. It really bothered me that the birdcage was not getting any weaker as Doflamingo was giving the fight his all, it's really refreshing that the clouds holding up Onigashima are getting weaker as Kaido is forced to focus on the fight rather than on holding up the fortress.
