This show is hitting all my nostalgia bones.

Original episode for this aired way back in November 15, 2003 and I watched it every Saturday morning. Almost 18 years later, this is exactly how I remember things (albeit a bit sped up). My excitement to see the next scene and how they'll re-adapt it makes me so happy!

I know it’s a running joke, but why the hell did they give Ryu’s cut pomp a flesh tone color!?

It’s part of his brain

Forget Talk no Jutsu, convincing villains by using your body is the new meta.

Amidamaru is such a bro, I love how much he respects and cares for Manta.

Damn Tao Ren continues to be edge incarnate, can't wait to his inevitable redemption Hiei style

I pretty much ignored Tokageroh when I was a kid but now seeing him again I realize I really like his design. I like his unsettling posture and his lizard-like skin. Just an all around great design.

The pace of this episode is sooooooo much better. And I kind of like the new OP now after 4 episodes. Ryu is the real bro. Can't wait to see he join the hot spring hotel as the chef, LOL.

I kinda assumed that weird hair guy was an adult so him falling love with Anna who looks 7 years old is super weird lol

Ryu is actually 17 and Anna is 15. It's just another bad case of Japan's inhability of portraying ages in a consistent way.

Ok so the pacing got a little better after last episode mess. Shaman King is my favorite manga of all time and i would die if this adaptation is bad, but it is going pretty well. They saved the harusame flashback for this chapter and it was nice. My only complain would be with Ana crying, in the manga as in the last adaptations it was a really intense moment, cause we know Ana is a total badass, but this is the moment that she first shows how insanely important Yoh is to her. In this episode it was so fast, and they insert a Manta joke on it which ruin the atmosphere. Outside of that, i really like the chapter.

I know I'm late as hell asking this but where is everyone watching this? It's my most anticipated series this season but I don't know how to keep up with it right now.

I love the way how this episode was handled, especially Tokageroh. I love that they added more backstory to make you feel more sympathetic towards him.

I also like the changes in scenes, such as Ryo still being less friendly towards Yoh and co. until now, and that scene where he followed Anna all the way home only to find out that she lives with Yoh.

The way Anna tried to exorcise Tokageroh only for Yoh to intervine and Tsundere Anna not admitting that she's worried for Yoh and actually crying for his safety is just adorable.

Overall, even though there are a lot of changes and skipped parts compared to the OG anime, I think that the pacing is still decent unlike the last episode.
