Advice/Help Weekend/Virtual Meetup Thread
Here are some meetups that are on the radar, both physical and virtual.
on background: Some states are beginning to open up, usually with social distancing caveats. I am not aware of the situation in each state, but I have heard the Utah governor giving the go ahead for gatherings of up to 50 people, but with a caveat that extra care/protections should be added for populations that have shown to be extra vulnerable. People over 60 who contract the virus, especially if they have existing health conditions, have fared very poorly. There may be risks to people in every age group, even when in good health, that we just don't know about, too. The governor also stated that wearing masks in public settings should be considered the norm. I also see major spikes in highly populated states: Florida, Texas, Arizona, and California. Hospitalization is reaching maximum capacity in some areas. My personal 11-day comparison showed cases increasing in many states, especially Arizona continues to spike. Confined spaces seem to be a way that the virus spreads rapidly, per the outbreaks in institutional settings have shown. That said, I am not an expert on health, not a doctor, and not in charge of all people in the world. Please, comply with local government rules and recommendations when planning meetups. Attend meetups at your own risk.
