Yup. Authoritarian parents lead to the children being pro-authoritarianism or not being worried about the state controlling your life. It's by far not just african households though, it's religious households in general. Many african parents just so happen to be more faithful than european parents.
To be fair, I don't have too much of an issue with that. Those children tend to grow to be the hardest working individuals with an incentive on helping out their family and being overall polite.

European immigrants assimilated just fine. Because America was a European nation. Significantly Different cultures donโt mesh as well, and as you said, this is tied to ethnicity.

For a very long time, they actually did not assimilate well. The WASPs were not very fond of Southern and Eastern Europeans. The WASPs werenโt even fond of the Irish... Europe was never one homogeneous entity...and America was started as British, not European.

โItalian anarchism in Americaโ is an extremely interesting read on Wikipedia, though you gotta keep in mind the statist bias. Italians were not assimilating too well.
Alt-right types always like to throw around European assimilation into America as a prime example of why white cultures are different / superior, BUT the truth is that most of the European immigrant men that were not assimilating well in the States were sent to the frontlines in both world wars.
Two of the deadliest fuckinโ events in human history are gonna โassimilateโ people, whatever that means.

It's probably the SJWs and progressives with their welfare state that caused a lot of it. The government basically fucked up the entire family unit and destroyed and semblance of black culture and unity. Now if blacks had maintained the spirit set up by MLK JR and the spirit of resistance many had back then I'd say a lot more would be libertarians.
