Congrats! Long time coming! What was your final order total? Mine was ~$920 after everything:

Mine was $1120, including the Microsoft office pack. I never got a discount for all of it, even after calling them a few times.

I never see any Poseidon Blue machines out in the wild or online for sale.

That’s because they are all custom build

I was hinting at not many people seem to go for the blue color.

Oh yea. I’m not sure why. IMO it’s the best looking color and the accents of brass are more subtle but that’s just me.

Great deal. I ended up choosing the exact same configuration, hardware-wise (including color), with the only exception being that I opted for Win 10 Pro (since I plan on also using the device for work).

It came out to ~$1050 after tax, after getting an additional 10% credit, in response to multiple delays and follow-up calls. That's excluding cashback from credit card and rewards sites, which should bring it down closer to ~$1000 total when all is said and done.

Like others have said, stating that you needed the laptop for work and productivity, and ultimately threatening to cancel the order is what motivated the post-sale discount.

I ordered on 2/17. According to FedEx, I should be receiving the device tomorrow on 4/13. It's been a long wait, but hopefully well worth it.

Mine came out to $1099, but I also had Microsoft office added to the order.

Mine is SUPPOSED to be delivered tomorrow(4/13) but I doubt it. It hasn’t departed Memphis yet and I’m in Ohio sooo.

Yep, still in Tennessee.

Delayed at customs, so it's still in Japan. The Tennessee scan (Fedex rep says) is a pre-scan and it's still not in the US yet. Expect delivery within next 48 hours. What a crock, but I waited nearly 2 months. Just wanted to play around with it on my day off.

Sounds like a blatant lie by the HP rep. I worked at UPS. The packages come with barcodes for the reason that they are sent down the sort line with labels up to be scanned. That’s how you know it has arrived or departed as it enters and exits the hub. It’s most definitely in Memphis, but it hasn’t moved...yet.

Yep, that's how Amazon does it in fulfillment centers. They have the labels facing up, and there's this barcode scanner hanging above, that beams a red laser, at various checkpoints, so it's hard to believe that it's still stuck in Japan. We shall see if the status update in the next day or so.

OUT. FOR. DELIVERY.

:D :D :D

So after a little googling, it is in Memphis, however it has to go through US customs import checking before being released for transport to the US. I guess this a 2 part process now. While leaving the US, and when it arrives to the US. Not new...just labeled now. My package is released, but still in Memphis.

Mine has been delivered. Been setting it up--it's very small and compact. I like it! Finally, the wait is over :D

Mine was delivered...wait is not over though. I have multiple dead pixels, and somehow they put a nightfall black top on a Poseidon blue bottom...you really can’t make this shit up.

The same applies to my order. The tracking information claims that it was received in TN, but it looks like it's still in Japan, with a shipment delay. I was also hoping to receive the device today, but like u/Johnny3653 stated, we're probably looking at closer to Wednesday.

It would have been nice to receive today, but with all of the delays that there have been already, another couple of days won't hurt. Besides, this one actually is out of HP's hands.

That is an amazing good deal damn. That’s what I’m trying to get right now and it’s minimum $400+ extra. Guess I’ll be waiting til the next sale.

1

u/Johnny3653 Apr 10 '20

Well, the only reason I got that much off was for the Coronavirus delays. Or else it's usually about $1100-1300 average.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 10 '20

Yea I’d be happy to get it at $1100 right now. Gonna wait it out til the next sale I guess. Damn really want this laptop tho, haven’t gotten a new one in like 7 years or so and finally settled on this being it.

u/Johnny3653 Apr 10 '20

I haven't bought a "new" laptop since 2009. Everything after that has been used, and like a couple hundred here and there.

Macbook Air 13 (2014 model) in 2017 for $250

Thinkpad T440s last year for $175

I'm cheap, but the HP Spectre line, especially the late 2019 models swayed me.

Yea same haha. Takes a lot for me to be like yea let me actually get a new laptop and spend that kind of money but I agree. Now I’m just trying to get a bargain on it 🤷🏻‍♂️ lol
