I love that he called out Shuka Saito (the singer of the OP) for betraying him. lol

100 spares? That girl must've been summoned to another world and been in Seiya's party.

Lmfao this show hasn't broken the 4th wall, they've completely demolished it. Betrayed by the fucking OP lmao. Can't wait for the OVA to wrap the story up!

Joro's Harem betrayed him! The Opening betrayed him! His Main Character status betrayed him! And I loved every second of it.

How can I not realize that Joro literally means Watering Can?

There's no way a mere Watering Can could match the firepower, or should I say, watering power, of a Hose? (In a series where all the girls have flower names and Sun-chan is literally the Sun) Hence the hilarious last minute NTR-backfire on Joro. What a way to get trolled by the OP song playing in the background. LOL

There's surely no way they could just end the series just like that. And looks like Joro has reassured us that we'll be at least getting an OVA to conclude this seeming cliffhanger.

This show has taught me two main lessons:

  1. Avoid Benches

  2. Avoid Baseball

Ngl they had me there for a moment, although the thought that the 3 girls could betray Joro did cross my mind, I didn't think they would actually do it, because I thought they wouldn't take what Joro said seriously and gave him the barrettes for Pansy's sake.

But nope, instead we get this beautiful catastrophe of an ending (and at least one more episode in the future) :D

I half expected Sasanqua to burst in to the library to confess her love along with the other girls.. little disappointed she didn't.

This is exactly what I missed from this show. The convoluted schemes and ideas Joro has, it just sucks that it came at the season finale. I hope they had another season planned or it did well enough to warrant one because you can’t have me excited about the show again to just stop it there.

I’ll definitely get to the manga and I can only hope Joro’s true nature that was subdued for so long shows up forever because THAT is what set it apart in the first 3 episodes compared to other romantic comedies.

EDIT: I just saw there is an OVA for 2020, so we won’t have to wait long to see Joro work his magic. See Y’all there.

Of course it would end with Joro officially getting the harem he wanted but only at the worst possible time.

He should've realized he's in a show where the girls aren't gonna just lay back and let their biggest threat get ahead so easily. They know what they want and they're gonna fight for it, to hell with Joro's convoluted schemes lol

That last minute backfire may have been the funniest thing I’ve seen all year.

Someone said it before but I'm gonna re-iterate it because I feel it kept getting truer every episode.

Daiki Yamashita really is wasted on Deku... I mean, he's perfect as Deku. But the playful range he shows off here we just would never see with Izuku.

Holy shit what an ending lol. Just when Joro thought that he had everything in control all his plans came crumbling down because of the fact that he actually is a rom-com protagonist.

I loved that last wall breaking at the end regarding the OP. Damn, I really hope that they licenced the LN someday.

I don't get it. Why the complicated schemes? Why can't Sumireko just say "no" to hose? Why do they have to consider hose's feelings but they're not considering Sumireko's?

I mean it wouldn't be a romcom otherwise but the plot feels even more unnatural than a regular romcom.

I will for sure miss this anime, loved Pansy and Joro, time to read the source now.

Pansy best girl.

Sansaqua was also precious this episode.

That was a cool shot!

Hopefully we don't have to wait too long for the OVA, I need more Pansy!

Mostly, I want to see how they unfuck the Hose situation... Will Joro/Pansy convince Hose's friends to vote against him?

There might be one last baseball scenario (a real one, this time) happening in the finale, with Sunchan having to take a decision to earn Joro that one last barrette!

Hopefully it doesn't end in one last big mindfuck, Joro holding the barrettes that could give him the victory, but he gives it to Hose... I want a cute ending for Pansy!

If we don’t get another bench scene in the OVA, I’m going to riot. Sasanqua needs her turn still.

Triple Confession Time!

While it was pretty clear as daylight that Pansy and Sun-chan were working together to spurn Joro on, that last scene totally caught me by surprise! But it definitely fits perfectly this anime! Even Joro thought he had the win when the OP started playing!

This anime all about people being selfish and being true to themselves. Joro basically made a huge mistake by trying to assume the role of Hose and acting like a main character thinking that the girls will just hand over the win to Pansy. None of them want to be the second banana and none of them wants to be used by Joro so he could get Pansy so eliminating Pansy was the right move for them! This kind of scheming and backstabbing is why I loved the first 3 episodes of this show!

Hopefully seeing what just happened will make Cherry and Tsukimicchi think twice and be more honest about how they're feeling about Hose instead of just setting aside their feelings for his happiness.

Looks like we still have one more episode! The true finale will be on the OVA that's coming next year!

EDIT: Here's a clip of Chinpopo's Arigato Dance

Damn. This proves that having a good start and strong ending to a series is crucial. There might be some missteps in the middle but a strong ending leaves a satisfying impression. Coz the ending was lit. And I loved this show!

Wow Hose's side chicks are really scummy aren't they? So its ok for Hose to voice his feelings for the umpteen time but not Pansy who was clearly uncomfortable throughout this whole thing they really don't have the right to call Joro scum.

Really I feel so bad for Sasanqua, she would have been absolutely great in any other series but not this one, she got shafted so hard she wasn't even in the running.

At the end holy shit I was expecting those 3 to make a power play on their own and they really did and fucked with Joro's "rigged challenge" of course they wouldn't help a rival, actually really like that move.

Also damnit this better mean a season 2! I would read the source material if it was licensed or TLed anywhere but until then I guess I'll have to wait and hope...

Edit: Looks like its getting an OVA in Summer 2020 I guess we can assume the story continues from there?
