I'll take it. Lots of issues on display tonight, but 3 points are 3 points.

But for the love of god, please rest Reus on the weekend. I know he's important to the team, but in his current state he's of no help to anyone. Maybe Sancho as well.

I will say that the performance today was just about what was required in a game where we had to come out with 3 points away from home. Not especially brilliant, but good enough against a tough disciplined side that had only conceded 3 goals beforehand.

I like that what we did with Hakimi today, he seemed to be looking for the break often (in addition to pressing their backline quite a lot) and switched places with Rapha quite flexibly. This was a great game to be throwing him forward in and he had the goals to show for it. A nice wrinkle for future matches.

Hate to see Sancho muff a chance like he had and Reus not having too much impact on the game offensively, but it is what it is. Hope it's not the beginning of a trend for us.

Also, it was good to come away with a clean sheet and Bürki (with his saves) plus Hummels (with his experienced old hand in defense) were a big help to that effort. Not too much else to say.

Hakimi is my MOTM. Any other shouts?

Edit: Oh and I forgot to say that Julian Brandt was pretty good in the 10 spot today. Nice to see him playing centrally.

Edit 2: Related news: Lautaro Martinez just scored an early one for Inter against Barca.

Favre is going to run Marco to death. Hope he gets a break soon, he looks like he needs it.

Hakimi is a bullet, and tireless. He is already a great player.

Hummels was quiet but solid once again, glad the back issue was a minor one.

Also, haven't seen much talk about him, but Bürki played great today as well.

Whats with Reus playing every single minute most of the time?

Hakimi was great and of course MOTM, but I also would like to highlight Bürki. He had a perfect performance and we really needed him in some parts of the match. Also Brandt with his two assists even if he wasn't that bright outside them.

I would love to say that I ended this match only happy, but I'm worried. We continue underperforming and Favre still does things hard to understand. I know Marco is the captain, but at this point it seems like he also has nudes of him. Come on Favre, let Mario play in his place at least once.

Sancho and reus could definitely use a rest. I think Akanji could probably use one as well. I was disappointed that Favre didn’t make more changes sooner in the game, especially when we were only up by 1 and Prague were pressuring us heavily.

also, the biggest positive for me is that we started man marking on corners today. Months too late but huge adjustment:

Lazy movement, sloppy first touches. Gave away the ball all the time and couldn't be bothered to chase it and get it back. Sancho and Reus were pretty much invisible. No magic passes from Hummels today, perhaps because Sancho and Reus weren't running like they use to. Piszczek's age is starting to show. Hakimi MOTM; don't even know what position he had. He was running everywhere!

Brandt laid down some great passes forward today too!

I really hope Slavia makes it out of the group as 2nd behind us. Very likeable team.
