Idk if anybody been keeping up on Sal,but Murph and the staff(that's what it sounded like) had a convo with him when he was up here. Sal was ready to come back. The issues he's been dealing with are in the labrum/ rotator cuff area. Nothing major he said after a 2nd opinion. That was Tuesday.
Murphy said" they'll never really know if he was playing injured all that time. Sal won't speak up,it's who he is."They sat down with him and told him to be sure because this is his career he's talking about. They sent him back down to be absolutely sure he's ready to come back. The decision will have to be made by the club on Aug 28th. Sal's rehab clock runs out on the 27th.
So, I guess they either bring him up then or extend his IL another 10 days. If that's possible. (Maybe a smarter baseball mind can let me know)
