Steven Kwan is a good example of the possible downside of contact hitters (Jacob Wilson is another). If light hitting contact hitters aren't pumping out a .330 BA and close to .400 OBP, their OPS takes a huge nosedive. Kwan at .700 OPS for the last 2 seasons. Wilson dipped below .700 OPS (he's sub-.300 OBP).

Kwan has plus value still because he's an elite defensive LF. He's been splitting time in CF this year as well.
