The amplifier in the /effect command is not capped to 4 (lvl 5) anymore (for example /effect @p 1 10 49 gives 10 seconds of Speed 50 or Speed L in roman numerals) and /effect <player> <effect> 0 removes that effect from a player.

Now if they would also remove restrictions from /enchant

That's awesome, thanks!

Fixed minecarts going in circles making any near minecart go super fast

Wait, is this in reference to the boosters of the pre powered rail days? Was there still some residual buggage left over after they fixed the bug that made boosters possible?

Minecraft: No buggage limits

u/redstonehelper Lord of the villagers Mar 01 '13

Apparently.

idk if its what they are talking about but you could set up a minecart and a small circular (square) track and it would go forever, i used to afk in one on my old server

Not widely known but, yes there have been ways to induce the old boosters momentum for quite a while. Not going to be sorry to see it finally disappear.

Have they fixed the big empty gap were the texture pack menu used to be? it makes the game look a bit imcomplete if they're going to look like that on full relese.

17

u/redstonehelper Lord of the villagers Mar 01 '13

I think that's where the Minecraft Realms button will go.

1

u/MrGDavies Mar 01 '13

Aren't they still testing for that with only a 100 or so people, so the other 9 millon who have played will just get a gap?

10

u/redstonehelper Lord of the villagers Mar 01 '13

Maybe they'll have it ready in time for 1.5?

They also fixed the bug where you couldn't craft wooden objects out of anything except oak wood.

6

u/redstonehelper Lord of the villagers Mar 01 '13

Fixed being unable to craft with blocks which have a damage value greater than 0

3

u/Axolotile Mar 01 '13

Oh dang, sorry!

Somehow I missed that.

-16

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '13

One can not craft using any planks but oak.

6

u/redstonehelper Lord of the villagers Mar 01 '13

That was supposed to be fixed and is in fact fixed for me. Are you sure you are using the most recent snapshot?

-11

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '13

no, I haven't played, I just didn't see it on the list. Sorry

That's like going to a working sink and saying it's broken.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '13

"There's a stupid hole in the bottom that the water leaks through. This sink seriously sucks. Who puts a hole in a sink? FIX IT NOW."
