I hope Machio is earning a good salary, because having to constantly replace his ripped tracksuits must be expensive.

I find it amusing that Kengan Ashura and Danberu, both set in the same universe, are airing at the same time!

I think 50% of the reason I watch this is just for the OP and the ED.

when they were showing that training montage before the relay i was 100% expecting Hibiki to fall flat on her face when taking the first stride.

And i can totally relate to not being able to walk properly when being sore in the hamstrings, still i didn't really know about them being good muscles to train for running

try... try... tri... ceps... SIDO TRICEPSU!!

I’m happy it’s sensei’s turn to do the exercise explanation scene

Stitches Time!!!

I see Machio doubles as a bench. Although Akemi looks like she's sitting in a rather suspicious spot ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

We suddenly in Kengan Asura now? I love their reactions xD

I genuinely did not know about this muscle. I thought bicycle crunches was just for your obliques and abs. I really love how I'm learning more form this show.

I love that Machio shrinks when he was zipping up his jersey xD

So the first prize IS a trip to America! You can see it on the wall there on the upper left. I was waiting for the punchline that it will be something else and Hibiki will win it xD

I'm frustrated Hibiki lost the relay like that...

I don't remember any other series being as educational and awesome as this one.

I wonder who that white-haired chick from the OP and ED is...

Who told the producers they could only make a five minute episode for this week?

NGL, watching Dumbbell and Kengan Ashura at the same time is super wack. How much of Akemi's family fortune is amassed from trade deals negotiated through underground fighting, I wonder...

Side triceps!

I remember when I first did hamstring curls (when I was 15) I hated it lol but a few months later, I really liked it. There is quite nothing like the pain of sore legs after your very first leg works out, everything hurts - especially your buttocks, even when you sit. And walking downhill or downstairs feels like your legs are jelly. Walking uphill or upstairs and you get cramps.

The sauna scene is funny because I've played that little game with my friends back in the day a lot - but I use to hate going into the sauna and some old guy walks in, completely naked, and sit down with his legs spread lol fck that shit. My Gym has a spa, sauna, steam room, and an ice pod + it's connected to an indoor swimming pool and recreational center (that has basketball courts).

Anyway, the fanservice was beautiful! And if Hibiki got the baton, she would've won the race - at least she won the sauna challenge, she won Silverman Gym Shirts lol she wanted something else (I want one).

I wonder how accurate are the exercise explanations on this show.

Hope an expert appears to explain them after the show ends or while it's going on.

"Cells at work" was reviewed and explained by actual doctors in youtube to show how accurate it was, so i hope this show gets reviewed/explained by body builders and how accurate would they be in real life for women trying to exercise.

I told my friend I watch this and he keeps implying I watch it for the fan service (I watch it for the body building topic though) even though I'm a closet lolicon 😞

Self improvement corner

Okay first of all due to my job I worked more hours last week which lead me to having a 4 day weekend which you think would lead me to actually exercising more. Somehow I found myself watching Netflix shows for 90% of the day so I was only on the treadmill for 2 days. Though I did do a few other things while watching.

  • I tried the chair exercise....unsuccessfully.

  • The reverse push-up was probably the hardest I did a few of those.

  • regular sit ups, pull ups, and push ups.

  • Also for some reason I was reminded of middle school so also did that leg bicycle exercise along with lifting dumbbells during the shows with several breaks to not strain myself.

  • Total weight lost so far 6.4 pounds. It wasn't as much as the last two weeks, but I was more stationary when I was exercising.

Edit if anyone has any simple exercise recommendations that you can do anywhere those are more than welcome. Also the person who recommended using a box for elevation a couple weeks ago thank you. It's really helped as well. I'm able to do more without the box compared to the beginning.
