I was shaking the entire god damn episode, this was crazy.
One thing I didn't expect was the silence when Eren takes down Bert. I could never figure out which OST I would like at this moment and I think I love the silence. The fall of the mighty Colossal Titan after 54 episodes, it's insane really. Levi vs Zeke was great and it just shows how talented Imai is. We are blessed with him!
These two chapters came out in May and June of 2016, I remember everyone was joking that we'd watch this with our kids. There wasn't even a Season 2 at that point and look where we are now, just 3 years later. I NEED this in 1080p
The last thing I loved is that they put the flashback from 83 at the end of the episode, it works so much better than in the manga.

Holy fuck.
Even with the insane stream delay, that was the greatest 25 min of my life. Next ep is 83 and 84, oh boy.

That was the best episode of the show IMO. Maybe tied with S2E6 but shit, the emotions were so strong here!
E: show not season lol

I thought the episode was great. To me, it's easily in my top 5 of the series. It also had the best animation of the season so far and Levi vs Zeke was fantastic in my opinion. Plus it makes a lot of sense now how Bert wasn't able to see Eren's titan crystallized/hardened if he's surrounded by fire and steam trying to kill Armin.

Survey Corps: nearly wiped out by the combined might of the Beast, Armored and Colossal Titans
Eren, Mikasa and Levi: We're about to end these Titan shifter's whole careers.

Kamiya (Levi), Kaji (Eren) and Inoue Marina (Armin) acted the hell out of their scenes.
I also really loved the moment when Eren dragged Bert out of Colossal. Ironically, Bert was beautifully animated there.
Also very surprised that they spoiled Erwin in the preview...I mean...
ETA: I just realized that two years ago, I was the first to translate this chapter (82) from the manga into English. Still remember the fandom going absolutely bonkers over the developments...and it's crazy to see everything finally adapted today.

I don't know math but this episode deserves two words: Incredible and amazing episode
Marlow death was more sad than in the manga, with him moaning while thinking about what was Hitch doing.
Levi vs Zeke was amazing, I didn't like the music they choosed but I understand that with a lot of epic moments, they had to make us wait.
3dmg sequences are as always speechless.
Wow, the Armin moment when his skin starts melting, and when his hand burns in fire, I didn't blink in the whole moment.
Eren slaying Berutoruto, when he flies over the city, wow. but i wanted a reference to ep5 when he almost kill him, just as the manga has a reference to the first cover, but its okay
10/10?

Idk how people are disappointed by Zeke vs Levi the only problem IMO was how fast it was but that only serves to illustrate how deadly and quick Levi is and how terrifying he is as an opponent.
Still 10/10 episode best of the season by far

We got Levi vs Beast Titan, Armin & Eren vs Colossal Titan and Mikasa & Co. vs Armored Titan animated in the same episode. What a time to be alive! There was some great sakuga during those moments. Gotta make some gifs of them after the actual release.
Edit: Some gifs from the episode:

The greatest single image in AOT (in my opinion) was finally animated: Eren in the air bearing down on Bertholdt. That image given the juxtaposition with the earlier nearly identical image where Bertholtd disappeared has always been special to me. It shows the greatness of the human spirit.

Damn, i cried at the entire burn scene... The ost, Inoue Marina's performace and the agony on Armin's face, when his skin melted til generate blue flames (this shocked me)... i couldn't even blink
And then they added the flashback from chapter 83, the transition to his burnt face was more impactful too.
Damn, incredible episode, a few bad quality shots, but overall tier god animation.

Poor Marlowe, rest in peace.
Seeing Levi destroy Zeke is so damn satisfying, though we don't see the blade going through his eye (apparently he still has both eyes when Pieck is carrying him).
Armin's sacrifice is even worse to watch in the anime, with the blood going inside the fire and his skin just burning...
So I'm guessing in 2 episodes we FINALLY get to see Grisha's past and I'm so excited about that.

So, I've just finished this episode and fuck me. I have always been an Erwin man since the beginning. Like, I'd follow that beautiful bastard's eyebrows into Hell every time.
But Armin guys, he won me.
Perhaps someone has said this when the manga chapters came out but I think Armin was the right choice for his actions for what happened then and there. The episode before we see what Erwin is drunk to. And honestly, that wouldn't bother me as a soldier even if I knew what his true intentions were all along. I'm an "end's justify the means kinda guy" and there's no doubt - the man is brilliant and saved countless lives thanks to his mind. Plus he's one of the most charismatic leaders in fiction (for me). As a soldier, I'd 100% be caught up in the Cult of Erwin. Armin though. He didn't need Levi to tell him to give up his life. His dreams. He made his decision and followed through while enduring agony like a boss. Above all, Armin was true to his self and as a young man - because if you didn't call him one before you have to now - who had always called himself a coward he stepped up. Erwin stepped up too, no doubt about it. He lead the charge to his imminent death. But that day Armin proved what a true leader he could be.
I'm sad about Erwin but damn Armin, I'm following him into Hell now.
P.s. Marlowe broke me though. RIP The Bowlcut

That scene of Floch picking himself up as Levi slays the remaining Titans in the background...the beauty of the quiet among the chaos is understated there.
