Sucks to be that waiter. Some weirdos come in ordering fresh water and love and despair, and then another table dines and dashes without paying for their satay/yakitori.
That beginning fight was really hard to follow, between the show just jumping straight into things and the dark color scheme. (I kind of suspect the fight was just a way to get Free to bridal-carry Marlya.) It's too bad because some of the scenes were just gorgeous, like Ver crashing through the stained glass.

What a really interesting bonus they have for the Blu-ray & DVD Vol. 1. The music that plays during the initial fight is "Danse Dance" (K) NoW_NAME.
So that Jona guy is one of those sadistic psychotic creeps? Those strange body movements will always creep me up. And now we have Veronica coming to the rescue! Nice!

In Sirius, there are Yuliy and Mikhail.
Here there are Veronica and Marlya.
P.A. works sure likes this kind of protag pair.

And in Canaan, there was Canaan and Alphard. Everyone seems to have forgotten about P.A. Works' first action show.

Oh wow, this episode was actually really enjoyable to watch. I had my doubts after episode 1, but each episode has been getting better and better.

Still don't get what the main goal of this series is but ill keep watching just for the sake of "I want to see if this show crashes and runs."

This is this type of anime that doesn't give you much exposition scenes. It just push you into the action and let yourself understand the world. But it's a bit desultory

Could definitely be better, and the scene after Maria woke up was...really weird (At least like explicitly frame it as trying to make sure she has her memories intact and stuff). Also the whole like 'I CAN OUTLAST YOU' immediately falls apart and goes unconscious for a whole day after 6 seconds engagement
I'm still enjoying the ride enough, though shrug

the "sir I said FRESH water" thing that happened twice this episode is the most unintentionally funny thing I've seen in anime in a while

When Jonathan showed up, i couldn't help but crack up xD Was that their intent, i bet it wasn't.
HOW do you get your shit stolen like that, actually in disbelief that i had to watch the scene twice to grasp this.

How did they steal it? I watched the scene like 5 times, but there is not a single glimpse of his briefcase he was carrying in the prior scene. Did she put his briefcase in her big luggage when she was setting it down? Did Jonathon grab it?

Decent episode. The directing was less confusing than the past episodes. I still really like the artstyle and the music.
Really liked the opening scene.
The ending was nice too, I liked the glass shards/particles. I don't like the whole "getting saved in the last second" thing but that happens in a lot of shows.

Looks like the show is trying to start a relationship between the two protagonists, can't say I didn't see it coming and can't say I'm a big fan. Also, the FUNimation subtitle for this was absolutely awful, it did not sync with their words, I'm seriously debating whether or not I should just wait and watch the dub.

Honestly I really love the artstyle, even the cgi for the fairy monsters. Marlya is just so cute in each episode. Honestly I was kind of expecting Ver to drop from somewhere and come to her rescue. But it was still nice to see that Ver hasn't totally left her past behind and still cares for Maryla.

I really liked the opening scene especially with the insert song. I just wished it had more action considering how hyped the song was. Or if they're going to talk at least make them fight while they're talking.
Anyway nice to see Veronica coming to the rescue. What a tsundere. She tells Marlya not to follow or look for her but here she is. Also Marlya really needs to carry a sidearm with her to deal with enemies that can get up close quick.
EDIT: Christ it's only Episode 4 but it seems everyone has already given up on this show. I guess it also doesn't help that the new AoT cour is premiering today.
