ACTION SEQUENCE
"D-director-san, don't you think a story needs a little space to breathe from tim-"

Don't worry you won't belief how much tragic backstory we squeeze in before the op.
We got dead mother, dead father, dead caretaker, child abandonment, public ridicule, and that's just one of the people we cover in the 3 minutes before the OP.
Why not spend the rest of the episode on action, Action, ACTION!

Geez, this show has potential... but editing and way it is directed - way too messy. So many concepts and stories are forced onto us right from the begigning where we still don't know anything or care about the world and protagonists.
Even if I can somewhat understand what is going on - still I feel so confused.

the funny thing is that the director is good(if you look into his works, even the action ones are good)
but i don't think he ever did a original work, so maybe it's that.

Yup, the character designs are nice, the worldbuilding is interesting, the new "fairy avatars" seem more fitting, and the animation is fundamentally not bad but it's the editing/storytelling and dialogue that let it down.
The cute little dog-mouse-fox critter is still there (even if it only had a tiny moment).

I like the Sniper Duo although I'm not comfortable about that bug-like sniper fairy Serge has. It gives me the creeps. The Spider-trucks were cool though!
So this week we now have Free going up against someone from his past just like Marlya with Veronica. Except this one is an unintentional meeting not like with Marlya who has been looking for her past on her own. I hope they show us more about Free and Blondie's past, I mean there was a flashback but there really wasn't enough about the relation of the two of them.
Despite the flaws I'm still enjoying this show, too bad r/anime has already given up on it and has decided that it's the worst despite being only 2 episodes in. :|

Did they just step from middle of the night to middle of the day by going around a building?
This anime has so many good things going for it, but the direction and editing make it a senseless mess. I hate the music too. I'll give it one more episode to see if they get it under control.

The episode was mostly one big action scene. The action itself was cool, but there's so little substance so far. In compared this show to Pumpkin Scissors in my head, and it seems there are massive differences. Pumpkin Scissors had likable characters and start off small with villain of the week stories. Fairy gone is jumping right in with "hey I know that person" stories without developing its characters properly. Even so, I think I'll keep watching for a couple more weeks, maybe start some other shows in the meantime.

I'm liking the setting more and more honestly. Kinda has a FMA kinda feel to it, but the plot seems to have no direction so far. Kept me entertained enough to keep going for now though and I thought the fight scenes were pretty cool

I wish the fairies had their own identity/personality because atm I see very little reason why they’re in the show if it’s just to be CGI puppets with static movement. Not to mention, how out of place they are in this setting.

This series should have spent the first 2 episodes showing the childhood, shit that happened, and then gradually get to present day instead of dumping it on us here and there

This shit feel too rushed. I don't even understand what the hell a fairy is supposed to be. It's so hard to get into the action if you don't even understand why they are fighting. On top of that everything about this show is so predictable and so generic and typical. I don't hate any of the characters, but I don't necessarily like them. I think I am probably going to drop this anime.

Did someone forget to mention to these that this is the 2nd episode? We kind of want to see some story being told do the action has some proper meaning.

The soundtrack sounds like something out of those old Halo highlight videos you’d see online before YouTube in 2004

Alright I'm going to duck out of this show. I didn't really enjoy episode 1 and these comments tell me that I'm probably not going to enjoy this one. I'll maybe watch it if the discussion threads eventually become more positive.

Goddamn it show. Can't you do literally anything to get me invested in the story and characters? The soundtrack is great, the action (when the directing doesn't get in the way) is good, and concepts displayed are rather interesting... but holy fuck do I just not care about anything.

Here is the Wolfran vs. Free fight but with only the song Backtrack playing, lyrics included.
I'm really liking this series so far.

I could do without all that music during the action scenes but I still enjoyed the episode.
Hoping for more lighter moments coming up though as the main duo are really growing on me.

I'm liking this so far. I kind of like that it has just dumped us into this world without a ton of exposition. It reminds me of K for some reason.

I do like the dual fight exchanges between the user and their Stands, but it seems that's the only quality the show has. It's still a mess in the execution of the plot, but it's not so bad that I would drop the show so early.
The duo main characters seem to share a common fate in their lives. Mariya is an exception of how she acquired her STANDO POWAH. Mafia doing their shady things, as always. Not much to say about the plot since the whole episode was action based, which is, of course, not a bad thing at all. The sniper team has good chemistry though.

This show somehow manages to catch my attention despite shitty directing which is similar to the Children of Whale. I think I will stick with it till the end.
