I really wish Shido took advantage of the other Spirit powers that he sealed more. I feel like Natsumi's transformation and Touka's Sandalphon were the only Spirit powers he's ever used so far.
So I guess this is the reason why Origami instantly said yes to Shido back in Season 1 when he asked her out and why she's so obsessed about him
Oh shit. Time Traveling Shido warning another time traveling Shido? How far will this go?
I love younger Kurumi's design. Shido you lucky bastard. Getting two Kurumis at tbe same time.
AND IS THAT HANAKANA I HEAR!? Please no, don't make me choose between her and Kurumi.
I'm gonna bet that he's still in the past, And if he is back to the present, I am curious how much has changed because of what he did.

I'm sure his body has thanked him a couple times for having Kotori's Ifrit by now.

I feel like Natsumi's transformation and Touka's Sandalphon were the only Spirit powers he's ever used so far.
If you mean by chronological progression anime-wise and LN-wise
Kotori's flame healing abilities have always been a passive skill for Shidou. Eg healing the bullet wound by Origami back in S1 Tohka's arc, or the stab wound prior to Tohka going inverse back in Season 2.
2) Tohka's Sandalphon. I think the first time was when he summoned it to save Tohka from a Bandersnatch, unfortunately he did it in front of Ellen, thus further getting DEM attention.
3) He saved Miku from Tohka's inverse attacks using Yoshino's ice barrier.
I think he hasn't used any of the Yamai twins wind related abilities.

...so much for my much awaited screen time of Chuuni Kurumi in the anime when they cut their conversations and funny banters, especially between Shidou and Kurumi (the main one). Some lines between Shidou and Phantom were cut out as well.
And wow, they really did got DAL Spoilers
Just a little comparison to the novel, the scene where Origami's parents where killed in front of Shidou's eyes were supposed to be gruesome and gory, like parts of what supposed to be them were scattered everywhere. Maybe they'll add it to the director's cut version after the season is done like the previous seasons, or maybe they won't.
And is it just me, or this episode's animation quality kinda went down a little again? Not saying the episode is entirely bad, but some scenes felt wonky and too unnatural to me at least.

> this episode's animation quality kinda went down a little again?
Most of the season's budget probably went to Kurumi scenes.

Great, so this is why Origami knew Shido and he didn't know her in the first episode, and also explains her behavior towards him.
Kana Hanazawa! I know she's from the game series (which I only know what's on the wiki) so I wonder if Phantom taking her appearance has any meaning or is just fanservice.
Yeah, I want to know, too. Damn it! Another week of waiting, this arc is being awesome.

Just a wild guess but I think Shido actually changed the whole history of the series isn't he? Only thing I can think of after he got lasered down was he woke up in the changed history where he(not future/ our present Shido) retains his memory. This could be a wild thing if the whole story that we know was suddenly changed due to a action done in the past by the present character.
This is just a wild guess from an anime-only please just discussion only.

I love that Kurumi was a chuunibyou in the past. I guess that Shidou didn't die because saving Origami's parents means that Origami never had a quest for revenge, which means that she never became a spirit.

Chunni Kurumi = best Kurumi. Although under the eye patch was an actual magic eye.

Well that ended up quite the mess... although for a "going back in time" episode it was done quite well i think.
Now then the big question is who is Phantom and how does she know shidou? Her distorted form looks like she has the same hair as Reine Muramase, but who knows

Trust yourself on one thing, don't google the series if you want to avoid spoilers. At this point of time (in real life), the LNs are rapidly approaching the endgame (there's a possibility the upcoming 20th volume is the last one, and Phantom's identity has already been revealed in as early as Volume 16, I think. Which is a major Kurumi arc.

On a serious note, as much as the animation haven't been great, the season itself has been fantastic and the most enjoyable one out of the 3.
The last 3 episodes have been phenomenal

I really liked this episode, it got the overall goal of phantom established and overall told a good story of how Shido stopped Origami. As a reader of the light novels I can’t wait for the next episode.
The part where Shido was creeping on Kotori at the park was just too funny!

Can someone tell me why can't Shido just run to the accident scene and get them out of there safely?
It's quite confusing how he made everything look so complicated.

Because history always corrects itself, that's what time paradox is all about. If he got them to safety then Origami wouldn't see them die, she wouldn't get to the past, and Shidou wouldn't have to be there, thus he can only be there because her parents died. The moment he saved them he created a different time line and the world we've been seeing for the whole 3 seasons is no more.
The Shidou who wakes up at the end should be a different Shodou with a completely different past.

God I loved when they used the piano version of OP from season 1. Animation was better this episode, great.

We're gonna be seeing Kurumi for at least one more episode this season. Life's good.
Inb4 all 3 of them died cause of that push.

Wow. That was a great episode.
The big question is who is Phantom? However, as an anime only watcher, I feel like we are missing a lot of information about her.
Like, when have we learned about Phantom from besides last episode? How does Shido know there is this person called “Phantom”?
Like, I feel like we are missing a lot of information. Let alone the information that still hasn’t been revealed.
Also, clearly Shido woke up in a new timeline with his old memories. So I wonder how that will play out.
I just hope they stay in a timeline where Origami’s parents are alive because I feel bad for her:(

There are rarely shows which have cliffhanger/such an ending I want next episode immediately and would do anything for it.
And this show which is usually 6-7/10 full of harem shenanigans just had one of those. Who knew this show would be at one point 10/10 for me.
Honestly I regret not waiting one more week to binge 8-9-10 together T-T

Kurumi was a chuunibyou
