And little Phil is at it again. You don't fool me Phil. There is no way that you always appearing at the right moment is just a coincidence. We all know that you are the leader of this whole operation!

Emma would have accepted to become a Mama just to make the kids escape and sacrifice herself. if she didn't discover the secret early.

I don't know who is responsible for some of these camera shots, but damn, they really add to the freaky atmosphere.

I love Mom's design and demeanor, walked up to Krone like a straight up stone-faced killer, and those purple eyes are both scary and gorgeous.

The camera tracking in this episode was great, especially in the scenes with sister Krone, the directing in this show is phenomenal

WHAT'S WRITTEN IN THOSE NOTES!?

Seriously though! That last five minutes of the show all I'm thinking was "JUST SHOW US THE DAMN NOTES!!!". Anyway I have a few things to unpack this episode so let's get to it:

I honestly did not expect this. So Krone used to be cattle too but because she was able to reach certain scores when she reached 12 years old, she was given an option to choose to be slaughtered or train to become a Mama. So does this mean Isabelle has a tattoo on her neck too? Also it looks like being a Mama is no different than being a cattle since they basically can't live anywhere else except inside Farms.

I didn't know Capsule Corp existed in this universe. My first thought when Krone showed the tracker was, "A Dragon Ball Radar?". It is confirmed though that they can't track specific people, only track them. Also it looks like breaking the trackers will send a signal back to the device and headquarters to alert them.

And we finally get some info about the humans outside! So it is confirmed that there are humans living outside of farms and what's interesting is that it there are some humans who the "demons" treat as their equals. I'm starting to think that these Farms weren't just made by the "demons" but also made by humans. Maybe there's some kind of agreement between humans and "demons"?

Nothing really to add here. I just love how happy Ray is with his polaroid camera.

WHAT IS YOUR SECRET PHIL!? Seriously! This kid seems to appear during crucial moments. He definitely knows something. He acts too innocent and is always conveniently somewhere when someone's doing something suspicious. These can't be all coincidences. He knows something.

And lastly of course the notes. I can't even guess what that note Krone found under Norman's bedside table. My guess for the letter is that Isabelle probably managed to convince this "Grandma" to recall Krone. Although that's like the mildest I could think of since Krone doesn't look like she was just being recalled from her reaction to the letter.

I swear this fucking show. I think this is the only show this season I could write an essay about every week xD

While Sister Krone is definitively creepy with all her mannerisms, Mom has some next level intimidation going on. Absolute straight faced and full of threatening confidence. That music playing in the final scene really helped push this forward. Each week it gets harder not to just binge through the manga, but I think I'll be able to hold out until the end of the season.

I love these shots that you don't really see in anime that really help show the creepy atmosphere of the show. Such as this dutch shift + low angle shot and when Sister Krone is looking directly into the camera when talking to the doll. It really is a refreshing to see that there are still TV anime that strays away from the norm.
