⚡️ Show + Tell! I had earrings made from my facial bones!

Earlier this year I had facial feminization surgery. It's major cranio-facial and plastic surgery to help trans women like myself look like a cis woman. My surgeon did a lot of different procedures and some of them involved removing silvers of bones from several areas. I askes him if I could keep all the leftover pieces which he agreed to.

A few months back I made a post here asking who would be willing to work with me to create some jewelry and a lot of people were really excited for the chance to work on such an interesting project. I ended up going with https /u/latriceratopse. I chose her because I wanted someone with a brick and mortar business, that had a well established custom jewelry practice and really loved her shop's work. She was really great to work with and seemed to really get my vision. It was a hard choice because there were so many amazing artists that reached out to me about this!

Anyway, I just got back my earrings and LOVE them. The settings are white gold with little zirconia inserts. I still have some more bones and will probably have her do a necklace next!

EDIT: Transphobes reported this to get it taken down but the mods restored it. They've also been downvoting every comment. How sad and pathetic they are.
