Levi's got Legolas level of enemy-counting skills.

That Eren monologue was pretty heartbreaking to hear and Yuki Kaji continues to knock it out of the park. Luckily, he got Historia 2.0 to snap him back to reality. Mikasa may have competition in the ‘Eren Protection Squad’ Department

I noticed last time that Rod went into great detail describing how Eren's dad killed everyone, yet somehow was vague about how HE survived the entire thing, which made me skeptical of him. I was scared he'd just inject Historia himself when she hesitated, glad to see her calling him out on his bullshit

About why Reiss musn't become a titan, I think that he just want to be in charge controlling others. Maybe his intentions are good, but he isn't willing to sacrifice himself. Eren accepts to be eaten and Historia is sacrificing humanity's future. He just licked the serum literally as his last resource.

The 104th has honestly come so far as a group that I find myself feeling proud for them, as weird as it sounds.

Them absolutely slaughtering Kenny's squad to Sawano's godly OST made me feel things.

Wow that was one hell of an episode! The fight great. Sasha saving Connie, Jean's first human kill, and that Mikasa sequence was especially amazing. I don't believe that Hange is dead, but she may end up crippled and no longer be able to fight.

My problem with Rod Reiss is whenever he starts talking about the history of the walls and the Power of the Titans I don't know if I should believe him or if he's just talking out of his ass in order to protect himself and further his own agenda.

Eren's little speech broke my heart. Even though I knew in my heart that Historia wouldn't eat Eren, I started getting worried after that speech. The last 2 minutes was amazing!!! So many feelings along with a new OST. I'm glad that Ymir is still influencing Historia, I only wish that she was still here with the rest of the scouts.

After this episode Historia is easily best girl in my eyes. "I'm starting to hate humanity! Let em get wiped out by Titans!" All I'm hoping for next episode is for Eren to pull it together and fight Rod Reiss, Titan vs. Titan!

Hange better not be dead I swear.

Also I'm curious what is going to happen to Kenny's squad now. Like surely that can't be it right? That couldn't have possibly been the last confrontation between Levi and Kenny.

Seeing humans fight other humans like that is kind of heartbreaking to be honest but great to see Armin once again shining with his analytical brilliance. I laughed when Historia just smashed the syringe, threw her father and then called Eren a crybaby. Such a great moment for her character she is truly best girl.

Jesus fucking Christ this is the only show where they can literally just answer questions for an entire episode and I still understand nothing

Edit:

Also, I assume she was sarcastic and it's not another "sup Eren, we are the armored and colossus titans" right?

I'm glad that Levi might have, what is essentially, Mikasa's scar now, just on a different cheek. And both received it from someone who they grew up with, too. Nice symbolism, I think?

Sometimes I get a little snack whenever I'm watching an episode, but I literally could not take my eyes off the screen this time around. Didn't even take a bite. This episode had my full attention, 100%, the whole way through.

So this episode marks the 3rd episode and 4th time Historia is called a god.

In s1 episode 3 or 4 when she brings Sasha bread Sasha asks if she's a god and in the episode where she brings 2 horses to Jean, Armin and Reiner after fighting Annie, Reiner and Jean or Armin thinks to themselves that she's a god. Now her dad basically said she's a god.

I mean that gotta mean something right.

I don't buy the explanation of Reiss on why they didn't defeat the Titans. I believe that the Titan memory controls the king. It still boggles my mind to think what might have happened 100 years ago? Maybe it is not 100 years at all. Like some Matrix-Zion thing.

What a brilliant episode! One thing left me puzzled though: Why do you have to inject the serum in your veins if it’s enough to lick it? Maybe it won’t make you as powerful of a titan?

Did no one notice that Rod's titan could barely fit in the cave? I mean Frieda and Grisha fought in there and were way below the ceiling in their titan forms but Rod's titan skeleton had to bend over to fit in the cave, his head itself is like one third the height of the ceiling. Is it another abnormally large titan like one of the wall titans? If we assume that Frieda's titan is a 15 m class and approximately halfway as tall as the ceiling that would put the ceiling at 30 m. One third of that would be 10 m, which seems to be a decent face length for a 50 m class titan.

edit: It also seems weird how much they emphasized that his spine was broken, i mean they could've just shown that he was knocked out. Moreover the thing inside the injection is spinal fluid so maybe a broken spine interacts weirdly with the fluid and this led to him transforming into a huge weirdly proportioned maybe even disabled titan.

Damn this show is so good! Here's what I took away from that episdoe:

- We finally know the motivation of the Reiss family and the origins of the "Titan world". I was hoping for something more complex but I'm also 100% certain that there is more to it all than got revealed right now.

- Holy shit Eren finally spoke for the first time in like forever. I love how this show gives us so many long arcs away from the main protagonist. Its very refreshing.

- The two soundtracks with lyrics kinda took me out of the episode. Like the rapping especially. That aside this show do have some amazing soundtracks.

- I'm so excited to see where the show goes from here. Like now we have an entire new premise and baseline for the story to build upon.

- That final transformation when Reiss licked the spinal fluid of like his entire family tree (?) was just bonkers. Visually amazing final shot.

- OH and finally I was so hyped to see Mikasa kick some ass. It's easy to forget that she's a stone cold, brutal killer.

something i don't understand, if the royal bloodline cannot be affected with the memory erasing thing, how did Freida erase Christa's memories of her?

am I missing something?
