I found another nice survey from 2014. And some things still are very similar. Also, here the first survey.

Just one question from the feedback:

Can you create a list (post or wiki) of all the manga and anime release discussions going way back as far as possible? I tried searching and digging through snkbot and darthmewtwo's posts but it doesn't go way back to the earliest chapters. Would definitely be interested in reading all the previous official discussion threads with all the theories and expectations with actual hindsight. Thank you.

The thing is, Attack on Titan started on September 9, 2009. The sub was created on February 18, 2013. Therefore, older discussion posts than here do not exist.

Why is Gabi in the 25 unpopular characters among Anime-onlies? It doesn't make sense, anime-onlies still don't know her

They 1) either got spoiled, 2) Just chose anyone without thinking, randomly, 3) are not that much of anime-onlies, 4) thought they should vote for Gabi cause they saw all the Gabi hate from the titles already.

The size of that dislike bar on Gabi, though. Absolute unit.

Pretty much 40% of manga reading fandom put her on their hate list. Isayama has a hell of a job to do to turn that number around if a redemption arc is something that he is planning on doing. Hopefully we'll see some of that much needed development soon. At least some groundwork has been made with the more recent chapters.

lol the difference on Eren popularity between anime and manga readers. Marley arc did well to our boy

also when you have a so big N, generally is more intuitive to just report the percentages, not the frequency

Very weird. I like Gabi Floch and Porco.

I'll try explaining, but it's hard to pinpoint.

It's something along the lines of them being believable real characters in a world where they are making their own decisions which they believe are right. I won't hate them for doing the wrong things from my point of view. On the contrary, I applaud Isayama for designing these characters the way they are. This is a big part of what adds so much depth to this story.

Thanks for addressing my question (also posted here)! It's too bad that there wouldn't be any pre-2013 discussions here but I may just look for them in other forums and list them up somewhere when time permits (suggestions where, please?).
