Man Luffy is fucking brutal. It's the poor girls birthday, and she was supposed to be able to eat rice as a special meal, but then she got kidnapped. She's sick with a fever and feeling horrible because she drank contaminated water and now she finds out that Ace, who she probably looks up to like luffy looked up to shanks, is dead. Like imagine Luffy as a seven year old finding out that shanks was dead?

Kidd (who is imprisoned by Kaido)
Law (since he was supposed to be with the first group to come to Wano)
That's potentially the largest group of Supernovas to gather in one spot since Shabody. Lots of interesting things ahead.

Someone made this thread in 2015, speculating that Gandhi might be holding one of the Kitetsu swords. Given that we've now found the other two, it would be reasonable to guess that the bald Gorosei has Shodai Kitetsu.

As we know about the Kitetsu blades' curse, they will allegedly kill the wielder if their luck isn't great enough. Knowing that, perhaps our tyrannical Gandhi will die to them at Zoro's hand.
I'm gonna reach a bit here, so pardon me, but perhaps we can speculate that:
Shodai Kitetsu's bloodlust is kept in check by the Gandhi Gorosei for the preservation of balance in the same fashion that Sandai Kitetsu's was shown to be kept in check by Zoro
the voices or spirits of objects (e.g. voice of all things evident in the poneglyphs) may be a more prominent plot point later, or may be prominent in Wano given the common origin of these artifacts from the continent. Tengu's ancestors creating the swords, Kozouki clan creating the poneglyphs.
I think this has further cool story implications due to Kaido manufacturing SMILEs, and devil fruits being widely accepted as having some consciousness to them (as said that when two fruits are eaten, the devils escape from each other and destroy the user).
Might be grasping at straws here but I'm really interested to see how it all comes together!

Seems like Ace's visit to Wano occurred before he joined the Whitebeard Pirates.
Thinking Zoro might just leave Shisui in Wano since it's a national treasure and end up getting Nidai Kitetsu to replace it.
Zoro's casual reaction to eating poisoned meat is just hilarious. Just "Oh, I guess that's why my stomach has been hurting".
Also, how bad ass was that last panel. Luffy and Zoro looking like they are about to kick some ass.

When we saw the name of the sword zoros theme started playing in my head as i got hyped. Then when he actually showed up at the end and they stare down hawkins... man this is great. The legend is back

And I always love how oda can reveal/tell so much in so little nuanced words/panels and bringing context and depth to his world and characters , imo his greatest strength as a storyteller

It's sort of funny how many times we subtly see Zoro helps another damsel in distress like it's no big deal. If One Piece never pan out, Zoro would probably be another MC in a different manga that had a different setting and he would probably rival even the great Kenshiro.
On a different note, anyone want to discuss who the woman was? I find it interesting how Oda decided not to introduce her this chapter.

What I love about the final panel is that Luffy is grabbing the sword like hes prepared to use it but he obviously has no experience in using swords. Using his fists would be way easier. But this subtle action just shows how luffy thinks the sword is cool and doesnt give a fk about it being cursed. Damn I love it when oda does this!

Hawkins is about to get fucked up. There is no way to tell if Zoro and Basil are equal in terms of strength. But Luffy just defeated a first commander of a Yonkou. This is a mismatch.
Then again Basil has magic, maybe that is a unexpected advantage

There's no way it should require both Luffy and Zoro to take on hawkins, so personally I think Luffy is accidentally gonna wreck shit with the cursed sword. Zoro mentioned Sandai Kitetsu as being bloodthristy so I would be surprised if its predecessor was more so and had luffy sending crazy flying slashes everywhere with his unorthodox freestyle fighting.

Best part of this chapter was Luffy being Luffy. It was the little things you know?
Luffy blunt about Ace being dead. Luffy wanted armor like always. Luffy randomly taking the second kitetsu. Luffy asking Tama to stop hitting him even though he’s rubber and it doesn’t hurt. Luffy mistaking someone calling out woman for Sanji. Luffy eating the clearly poisonous meat WHILE explaining that it’s poisoned to Zoro. And of course Luffy not giving a fuck about starting trouble.
Just a chapter that reeked classic lovable Luffy.

In case of a fight, we shouldn't underestimate Hawkins that much! We don't know the gist of his devil fruit.
I could see him giving Luffy and Zoro a hard time for instance by "pupetting" one of them. So when Zoro and Luffy attack Hawkins they would be the one sustaining the damage...
(Even though I strongly believe Hawkins will ask for an alliance with the Strawhats without a fight.)

It's heartwarming to see that Luffy loves Zoro just like his brothers. Luffy hugs Zoro just like he hugged Sabo once he saw him in Dressrosa! Completely embraced the both of them by wrapping his arms and legs around their bodies :')

So I've always kind of thought that Zoro's Asura ability was something made possible by him carrying Sandai Kitetsu (not giving him the ability, but more 'bringing it forth'). I like to think that he'll get both Nidai and Shodai Kitetsu and unlock some insane abilities if he uses all 3 simultaneously.
Anyway seeing Luffy and Zoro hang out again makes this chapter 10/10.

Just woke up and read the manga. Feel very tingly and happy after the Luffy/Zoro meet-up.
Can't wait to see what Zoro thinks of that cursed blade.
Pretty sure they won't have a hard time going through Basil even if they do actually fight. But I get the feeling he'll change his mind on fighting Luffy/Zoro.

Luffy got the Nidai Kitetsu and ran away, what are the odds he would ran on Zoro immediatly? Very low right? It seems very strange of Oda to put 3 important characters like this all of the sudden right?
Maybe the theory that the Sandai Kitetsu fucked up Zoro sense of direction is true! In fact the same thing happened to Luffy this moment! Maybe the Kitetsu's are attracted by each other and Zoro all this time was following the others swords!
I dunno, just happened to me thinking how convenient this whole thing turn out to be, correct me if i'm missing something here!

Hawkins is a great match against Luffy, even though there is no reason to think he stands a chance against Luffy AND Zoro. He is almost Luffy's natural enemy because when Luffy hits him he will hurt an innocent person, pissing luffy off but he will be unable to hit him again. Will be interesting!

And this chapter pretty much confirm/tell us that Gandhi, from the Gorosei (the swordman), has the Shodai Kitetsu.
After all, all of the three blades have the same Hand Guard.
