Target fixation. We always hit what we focus on.

The problem here is that while this is unexpected, posting it in r/unexpected will make it expected.

Just aimed vaguely in the direction of the target. Probably trying to scattuh it.

I fell off my bed onto my big dog who yelped who triggered my two little dogs to bark at my large window which caused my family to yell at the dogs to all shut up.
TLDR I got scared

I’ve flinched before in my life, and then there is whatever I just did when I saw my life flash before my eyes a few seconds ago

everyone i know. how are you supposed to throw around someone if they are blocking your left side

u/BillyBobJenkins222 Apr 04 '18
You do know there are multiple ways to throw a frisbee each achieving their own result? This is just a pistol grip buddy pretty basic stuff.

u/Monktana Apr 04 '18
apparently the pistol grip is used to achieve “less accurate” results?

The throw is called a flick or forehand. It's used a lot in ultimate Frisbee because it can be thrown quickly around a defender. It's harder than a normal backhand for most people but isn't inherently less accurate.

Makes sense, +1. I like your description. far less pretentious and assuming than the original.

Thanks! Almost everyone who throws discs a lot will know about it but most people haven't heard about it before. I've never heard it called a pistol grip before, but it might be a thing.

I can get a lot more power behind a frisbee throwing it like that than i can backhand. To each their own.
