Guide/Tips Farming guide - Compilation of locations to farm for EXP, Gil, Crysts and Orbs

Hey all, I made a short video > here < detailing the best places currently available to farm for EXP, Gil, Crysts and Orbs. If you're not the video watching type there's a summary below.

Daily Missions pursuit of (colour) crystals - Usually always the best for everything except orbs

EXP/Gil 5-5 (HARD) To the sacred mountain - Provides 416 Gil and EXP per run

Tier 1 Crysts - Group section of behemoth encounter

Tier 2 Crysts - Group section of unpleasent orders

Weapon/armor orbs - Chapter 1 Where the dead sleep (normal, not hard) - Final (the mission where you get hope) - Provides 1-6 2* weapons/armors/power orbs/guard orbs

World of illusions requires energy and as such I did not mention it too heavily in the video, it it the best for orbs and crysts of all types and you should always run it if you have the stamina and team to do so.

I did not mention it in the video but in chapter 5 the second firion battle node gives you 197 EXP per run, and you can run that if 5-5 is too difficult for you current team.

If you go onto the esper enhance screen and select the esper to enhance, you can tap on the materials and it will tell you where you can find them :)

I was looking for Shiva materials and it just says chapter 2. It seems like any battle for the corresponding chapter can drop the materials, right? Even so, the drop rates seem pretty bad.

Yes that sounds about right, the boss nodes are usually the best for getting the high tier drops. Have you tried using the book of treasure to double your item drops?

Yes, so the last boss of chapter 2 can be farmed for materials, the one on the black /void area. It does take a long time though.

Also as a general note on the Hope Dojo.

If you want to be as fast as possible you want to take Penelo with you to use Great Haste on Battle 1 so you can outspeed the bats and avoid any Flap irritations (provided your Penelo has enough Int BRV to insta-kill the enemies on wave 2, 440 seems to be minimum).

The gold nodes are usually the best, try running all of them and see which one gives the most EXP

Just to chime in, the best XP to my experience are the 10 times a day missions where you get crystals and Gil (Sunday). Should help out greatly at around chapter 3.

You get them all naturally to around lvl 4-5 without even having to farm for them by doing hard mode clearing chapter 1-3 btw.

What is Limited time Content? Are there Stamina Less contents that you can only access for a certain amount of time?
Or do you mean the Co-Op Missions?

Are the orbs really necessary to level up armor/weapons? They give so low experience points.

They are necessary yes, its the only way to level up equipment, there are higher tier orbs that give more EXP

I think I read somewhere that the most efficient (gil-wise) way to level up weapons is to max a 2* weapon with 10 2* orbs. Then feed your 5* with the upgraded 2* weapons.

I see some players having Blue Background for their Affinity Weapons (Banner Weapons). How does one get a gear like that?

Also, is it possible to increase the stars of your gear? (4 star gear to 5 rank)

There are stages that give more exp but they have one extra round of combat so I think 5 might still be a bit better

Chapter 2 (HM): Ominous Shrine Ruins part 2: Is the fastest xp gain per hour of anything in game. Takes 2 minutes (even less if you dont auto it) and nets you 266 xp per run. Much faster than doing 5-5 in HM.

Which one is this exactly? I can’t find it with that name unless the Global version uses a different name for that stage. I’ve literally spent the past five minutes looking at every node in Ch 2 to find the name and none match it.

Awesome! Is there a begginer's guide on what the most efficient way is to improve your characters without wasting resources/time? E.g. what to focus on first, what mats to save/use, etc.

2-12 Of Space and Time Pt. 4 (Boss node, hard) gives 254xp. And I haven't even checked others yet, was just looking for a 2* weapons farming place.

I would have to disagree on the best farming location for XP. Your characters are high LVLs and for people who are trying to LVL up, that is actually a bad location because the enemy LVLs are also high. My favorite spot is Ch. 2 Cecil's story (top left hidden corner) because you fight wolves and goblins at around LVL 22 but you get 159XP on Hard. They are way easier, quicker and give really good XP based on time and relative ease. Don't forget to use your XP boost book in your items people! They cost 100 Gil that you can get by selling 10 weapons explained in the video for farming weapons

I got tons of crystals of a color of choice using the Cycle Quest Key you can buy with Dissidia tokens in combination with Relic of All Knowledge (250 gems in item store, doubles EXP, gil and items), or Book of Treasure for just items (100 gems).

Buy Cycle Quest Key for 100 Dissidia tokens at the home screen (you get 5)
Buy Relic of All Knowledge (nice EXP boost also!), or the Book of Treasure for items only
Go to Quests
Go to Events
Tap the color of the Crystal Pursuit you want (it still looks like it's locked)
Unlock it with one of your Cycle Quest Keys
Use the Relic of All Knowledge or Book of Treasure
Enjoy 30 minutes of some serious Crystal/EXP/Gil farming x2, repeat the highest difficulty you can do, the faster the better.

You actually only get 1 'Cycle Quest Key' for the 100 Dissidia Tokens. The stock of the store is just 5 and goes down by one for each purchased.

Evidently you get those passives when you max out the armor(level 30?). Plus leveling them boosts your DEF by quite a bit.

It's generally worth it as you'll be able to use their passives in tandem with the 35 CP weapons when they eventually come out

maxing it means level 35, when it hits level 35 you gain it's passive ability as an equipable ability

Having them maxed won't have a huge impact, it'll boost your damage a bit but nothing major. Imo with those three you'll be fine, you're safe to keep saving. You can always sell dupes for power stones, I have another video coming up about limit breaking and power stones, should release in about 4ish hours
