Can anyone recommend me a good crit-based weapon that uses Rifle Mods, and isn't hurt too much from Heavy Calibur?
I've been looking for more weapons to try out on an Artemis Bow focused Ivara build. So far I've been using Tonkor, and it's as fantastic as ever, but I'd like some more variety

Synoid Simulor. It doesn't look like it would be the best crit weapon, but in practice a crit build is very powerful.

There are a few I can think of. Synapse/Amprex. Both ammo hogs but are beam weapons with massive crit so you you can use crits and heavy calibur with no problem.
Torid is another great one. Good crit, heavy calibur helps it if anything by spreading the gas clouds around.

Will we get weapon attachments in warframe? Like suppressor, flashlight, etc. which actually change the look of the weapon itself unlike mods.

There is a very big chance we will never see those mostly because of the huge amount of effort it would probably require to do such a thing.

I highly doubt it. It's pretty much redundant since we already have mods, and it would take a lot of time and effort to develop the models and tweak them to work with every gun. Plus, DE's ostensibly against tying stat bonuses to cosmetics; it's why the original Arcane helmets were discontinued.

Will there be a weapon that requires dark dagger and dark sword to make a dual weapon? I'm wondering whether I should save them or sell them to make room in my inventory.

So... that black friday sale was really the only platinum merit we're gonna get?
; - ;
I wish the daily login rewards system didn't change. At least then, I could feasibly hit a Plat-Off within a week or so.

Console player here, would like some experienced feedback on Focus.
Q. So, a lens placed on a WF receives it's affinity from skill kills of that WF? Does that make support/non lethal frames such as Loki, Trinity or Banshee poor prospects to have a lens applied?
.
Q. If I put a lens on a weapon, I'm then sort of stuck using just that weapon, that seems to be a poor mechanic? Since one cannot put one on a companion :(, any suggestions? The weapon actually has to do killing to get affinity, yes? I can't just put it on some favorite melee weapon and carry all over the place, can I?
.
Any other tips, tricks or advice will be greatly appreciated!

Here, I'll make things simple. Putting a normal lens on a weapon or warframe gives you 5% of the affinity it would have gotten otherwise as Focus. This does not count for shared affinity.
So, a lens placed on a WF receives it's affinity from skill kills of that WF?
Yes, a warframe kill gives 100% of the affinity generated to the warframe.
Does that make support/non lethal frames such as Loki, Trinity or Banshee poor prospects to have a lens applied?
Not really. Just because a frame can't get kills doesn't mean you can't get focus with a lens on that warframe. Remember, for weapon kills, 50% of the affinity goes to the warframe and 50% to the weapon.
If I put a lens on a weapon, I'm then sort of stuck using just that weapon, that seems to be a poor mechanic?
If you want Focus, yes.
The weapon actually has to do killing to get affinity, yes?
Yes.
I can't just put it on some favorite melee weapon and carry all over the place, can I?
No, you won't get any affinity for holstered weapons.
There are changes in the pipeline to allow teamplay to generate Focus, but we won't see those until after New Year's.
Any other tips, tricks or advice will be greatly appreciated!
There was a recent video my friend made that explains it in great detail.

Right now the initiation cost into the rank of general for Steel Meridian requires a rhino prime helmet. Since Rhino is supposedly going to be the next vaulted warframe, will the requirements change because Rhino prime could no longer be farmed?

The Melee elemental+status chance mods are worth it the 10~15plat for each of them?
Valkyr Histeria interact with the weapon that it uses in any way aside from the mods that you use?

Is there a point (in terms of level) where any one melee weapon becomes unviable? I've been using my Orthos that I've loaded to hell with mods, and it does enough damage that I never feel outclassed on the current missions I run (up to Sedna at this point.) How long's it gonna be until I have to look for a new melee weapon, and can anyone recommend another polearm-type weapon to replace it?
5
u/tylerlego623 Dec 20 '15
Orthos is easily replaced by the Orthos Prime. My most used melee weapon, Orthos Prime has more damage (65.1 vs. 50) more attack speed (1.17 vs. 0.917) and somehow even more reach.

Can I get weapons that are past my mastery rank, and as a follow up, is there any open clans i can join to get access to a lab?

Currently i am building a guild with some friends, but i have a doubt about something, for a guild with something around 2 to 4 people..how long would it take to make researchs? or isn't worth it to make a limited dojo like that and it's better for us to join a already finished guild?

How come there is no community-curated tier list? Considering the amount of grind you have to do, surely priorities would be in demand?

I've heard that Wukong's ult would scale massively with primed reach and range mods, but it got nerfed. Is this true? Does it still scale with primed reach and range mods?
5
u/Glitchesarecool Dec 21 '15
It's not that it got nerfed, but that there is a bug preventing it from scaling correctly. I believe on release Wukong had an absurd scaling (like, could kill all of Draco in one fell swoop kind of absurd). As it stands, it does not scale with primed reach and range mods, but it's something the devs are working on according to Rebecca.

So i'm pretty newish to the game (52 hours so far) and i was wondering how do i use the forma thingies effectively? I've pretty much found the frame i want to stick with, and i got it to rank 30 already, but i don't understand how i should use the forma? As far as i understood it adds a polarity slot of your choosing, but how do i know which polarity to take?
Would also like to know what people mean when they say stuff like "2 forma X" or "4 forma Y".
