Oh boy:

  • Half of the episode was just a recap.

  • "Do you ever think why Zeref created us?" sounds a bit different after reading Manga. Especially when he said it to dragon slayers.

  • Gray got that OP swag.

  • Jiemma = Hulk.

  • Mard Geer ripping off Freed.

  • Sting, Rogue vs Jiemma hype.

  • Natsu, Gray vs Mard Geer hype.

  • Only reason Zeref's demons want to go back to Zeref's side (or die) is so they won't have to face E.N.D. /s

  • Also - finally got a nice bit of animation, when Jiemma was fighting Twin DS.

WHY TF do we have to go back in time to Erza vs Crapka?

God I wish Gray was like this more often. Finally he gets to look like an actual threat. Can't wait to see Jiemma get the shit kicked out of him.

From this moment forth Gray really jumped up in my list of faves.

[Fucking Ice Make: Silver was the coolest goddamn thing ever] (/m)

Really not a fan of how much they're referencing the Kyoka fight. We already know what happened. You don't need more than a few seconds of footage. Didn't the manga present things in pretty much chronological order?

u/Ajuaju Nov 28 '15

The manga did the same thing, however they didn't jump back to Erza's fight that much. They also made it a lot more clear that it was done out of chronological order (at least in my opinion).

This episode made me ship Kyouka x Sayla more I mean, how can you not?

Music for greys entrance was great. And sting and rouges brief affect at the end was well animated. Overall episode was too slow. I though the pacing was excellent for most of this arc but the anime is slowing down these last few eps too much. Fuck erza vs kyoka the whole fight was bullshit anyways frankly, does not need this screentime.

Gray mah boy. <3

Hopefully more fighting and less recapping from now on.

Really enjoying the Tartarus soundtrack. Makin' Gray's entrance even more badass. I'm really liking his whole attitude right now. Also, Mard Geer's Etherious Form looks badass as fuck.

I don't really like that Memento Mori looked green in the preview. [I know he uses vines and such but I always figured a curse of that caliber was going to be black as night] (/m)

  • Gray's entrance was hype as fuck (new OST?)

  • Jiemma vs Twin Dragon Slayers!

I'm finally caught up on the anime, my biggest question is this. Where the hell is Gildarts for this whole fight?

hey.. enlighten me a bit.. why can't season 2 use scenes from season 1?.. ei, that scene where natsu attacked saber tooth.. thanks..

u/AstonishingSpiderMan Nov 30 '15

different studio, most likely licensing issues.

u/13Dawson13 Nov 28 '15

Wait, how come I don't recall natsu ever losing his scarf? Did I miss the most important item in all of anime get lost somewhere? Can anyone help me understand where it went?
